Sorry, Herb. Your 'cut & paste follies' cannot convince me, who has experienced the reality of the words written in the NT, having faced death in this life, and with full confidence in my life hereafter.

Dealing with you is like a sighted person trying to explain 'what color is' to one who has been blind from birth, and that blind man arguing against what I have experienced as a sighted person!

But in fact, if reality, a blind from birth person would want to hear about color so as to attempt to understand ...not so you. Spiritually blind and arguing against what you do not understand with one has experienced that of which I speak!

Just as the sighted man has 'experienced' the phenomena of color, so does the spiritual man who has experienced the touch of God in his life.

It is the cliche phrase of, "You know that you know that you know.." I.e. first hand witness of 'the Word of God revealed, personally.."

You forget, jam, that I was once a Christian myself, so I'm not a blind man who has never seen colors. I also had experiences that I interpreted as miraculous, but now looking back on them, I can see that there are natural explanations for them. As long as you can find alternative natural explanations, the supernatural hasn't been proven.

One can look at situations in one's life as 'walking by faith' or just being 'lucky.'

I've had many trials & tribulations in this life, but trusting in God has delivered me out of all of them---from escaping death several times as a reckless youth, to 10 yrs of being safely delivered from many dangerous situations as an interstate trucker. As a trucker I learned how to trust God thru prayer and resting in His peace and never had an accident, altho having other trucks jackknife & autos spin out in front of me during hazardous conditions, and many, many other such dangerous situations.

Trusting in God has given me peace in my life, and I know more trials are in front of me, but I fear not, knowing whom my shield & deliverer is.

So one can look at life and its situations & outcomes as just pure 'dumb luck' (good or bad); or, one who is living a life of faith, trusting in One other than himself, can believe as salvation by faith...it's each individual person's choice. My life is one of peace & contentment...not anything more that I can say to explain my 63+ yrs on this earth and my 'prospering in the Lord,' body, soul, & spirit!...
