Thumbs up Waiting for the other shoe to drop!

In this age of instant news worlwide and of seemingly very short memories (of the events of 9/11/2001),we are all amazed at the amount of cash being trown at Hillary and Borat,(mispelled on purpose). It may be me showing my age here, but has anyone remembered that our enemies around the world would like nothing more that a liberal democrat taking control of the whitehouse. Why,you might ask? Because to a radical terrorist,(Yes,I said terrorist),there would be no greater victory for them to face a woman,or even better,a man of mixed race,(sorry, thinking on their terms),as the figurehead for the American public. This translates to a sign of weakness to our enemies, and they will use it to their advantage in recruiting thousands, maybe 100's of thousands of more Cool Aid drinkers who would gladly give up their lives for their cause,no matter how misinformed that may be. Bottom line for me or anyone who has any connection with our extended military families across the U.S. is a simple choice. There is only one choice for president in 2008,the only candidate (annonced or not) who so far has taken the stance of peace through strength, peace through a strong military and armed (to the teeth) vigilant citizens. I'm With Fred........Fred Thompson! Strong on the 2nd Ammendment and our Freedom!

I am too, but he needs to make the announcement soon or he's going to piss a lot of people off. I think he is the ONLY one who can beat Hillary Clinton IF she gets the nomination.

I can hardly wait for the primaries and we finally get to see if this Clinton monster really has legs -- as a candidate that is.

WiseOne, I think almost ANYONE can beat Mrs. Clinton. Her campaign has the air of an April Fool's joke. The notion of her being of presidential merit is utterly absurd to me. It is unfathomable that a thinking person would consider voting for this mangy rat, but we need the voting to start in order to puncture the illusion.

Where was John Kerry at this point in the last election cycle? Who knows, Bill Richardson may wind up being the Dem's nominee.

What troubles me is that many thinking persons will vote for her. The town I live in is predominately Democrat as are most of my friends. On the rare occassions that we discuss politics, what I get from them are "sound bites" heard through the main stream media. These people I can forgive and try to enlighten as I know that politics is very low on their priority list.

The people that worry me are the avid political junkies, like myself, who follow the day to day, listen to the hairbrained ideas, and still back these liberal lugnuts. This is the "What's in it for me crowd," and there are plenty of them.

Organizations like NOW, Greenpeace, The Sierra Club, the NAACP, etc... all crawl out of the woodwork every two years to extort a piece of the pie from the Democrats and don't give a #### about the conseqences of the big picture. As long as they get theirs. Then after the election, win or lose, they go back to their own little worlds and work on their own little causes and to hell with the rest of us.

The Democratic party's constituency is made up of a patchwork quilt of special interest groups, all with their hands out, and there are plenty of them. The reason the Democrats raid our wallets is to keep these leeches happy. To them it doesn't matter that Hillary is an idealess idiot.

"To them it doesn't matter that Hillary is an idealess idiot."

She started out with principles, not principles that I agree with, but atleast she once had principles. Now she has become a political whore who makes her decisions based on polls. Because of this, even lots of Democrats don't really like her, but unfortunately there are lots of people who are supporting her just for the novelty of having a woman as President. Such superficial people like them should just stay home and not vote. If somebody wants to vote for her because she supports socialized medicine, fine. I don't agree with them on that, but at least they would be voting for a principle that they believe in. But please people, don't vote for her just because she's a woman.

All have good points,but.....

Hillary has such a polarizing personality,I believe, her unabashed pandering to the far left edges of her party will come back to "bite her in the ###" in the general,if she can overcome the "O'bama factor." One thing that I remember in general political conversation with "John Doe" public,is the amazing power of cable news (Fox) and talk radio to reach untold millions of undecided's,uncommited,or those who have "tuned out" all the preliminary yacking to make informed decisions, particularly when it comes to the basic issue of which candidate will keep my family, our country, and our homes safe from the terrorists. On those issues, she has turned her back on our military families and ....... they will not forget!

I hope you're right donall108, but the polls show the public is fed up with the war in Iraq and as far as Fox goes, Rupert Murdock is supporting Hillary. I suspect he will do the same thing with Fox as he did with the New York Post by killing stories that are negative towards Hillary.

re:Fox News

Well,I would venture a guess that having given Bill O' and Brett Hume "Free Rein" as to their own style of political reporting, I feel very confident that those who have the most to hide will be exposed, no matter what their party affiliation. Bill O' takes no prisoners on either side and has a keen dislike for both of "The Clintonestas". No, Fox is 100% on showing both sides, and that accounts for the #1 watched cable news programs on Earth. The "Far Left" is "Very Afraid!" If Ruppert is donating to the Dem's, it's only because it is smart to spread around your donations... Thanks everyone for the spirited comments!

The fact that he has killed negative stories about the Clintons at the New York Post makes me wonder how much he allows Fox to report about her.
