I knew that gray matter remark would get under your skin Herb. So after taking the weekend off, did you find any other long shot independents to waste your vote on?

Do you by any chance have one of those bumper stickers on your Yugo that says,

"DON'T BLAME ME I VOTED FOR (Insert name of independent here)?"

'Voting your conscience' in the primaries is fine; but...at some point 'reason & logic' shud take over and you shud vote for the candidate that is the 'better' of those remaining in contention to lead this country!! You must transcend the 'warm & fuzzy' and 'pat yourself on the back' stages into REALITY!!

Okay people,

I'm waiting for the results of Indiana and North Carolina. We have also been celebrating the life of one of my son's best friends who died at 37-years old from alcoholism. The results MIGHT have been different if he had health insurance. No health insurance, no money, his mother was supporting him the last year of his life, and it took two hours just to ride a bus to try to get into rehab. In the hospital five times during the last year of his life. Maybe if he would have had that "socialist inspired health care plan" of Hillary's his life could have been saved.

I'm sorry for your sons loss judydreams but I'm hard pressed to make the connection. Are you blaming his friends death from alcoholism on the lack of universal health care? AA was just a phone call away and perhaps an intervention with the people who loved him.

Poor personal decisions by certain members of society are one of the major reasons that a lot of people don't want Universal coverage. In many countries where socialized medicine is rationed, alcoholism is a reason to deny care, not provide it.

Like you said, nohil-billy, AA is always available for those who want to overcome their alcholism. Also, there is charitable help available in hospitals. Why put everybody in a ruinous system which has failed in every country it's ever been tried?
