| | Newt Gingrich Doesn't Have A Chance I, humbly, doubt that Newt Gingrich has a chance in 2008, period. I wouldn't vote for him because of what he was doing while pounding on Bill Clinton at the same time. That was tasteless to be sure. While I despise Bill Clinton for how he did his things, I think Newt was a royal moron for not thinking he would get caught too. I wonder what was going through his mind while he was "preaching" against Bill? Weird.
I mean did he think the Clinton's wouldn't try and get their cronies to find something on him? Now THAT was stupid thinking on Newt's part.

Now THAT was stupid thinking on Newt's part. | WiseOne: Agree to disagree, and we must not fall into the Liberal Mantra that it was all about Sex. I heard Newt discuss this issue. I think we need to remeber that Slick didn't go down because Monica went down on him, he went down because he lied to the FBI, Obstructed Justice, and Subborned perjury. He was disbarred and impeached. That is why. Newt when caught, immediately admitted it, and stepped down. Newt is the smartest person that the Republican's have on the conservative side in my way of thinking. (evidence, look at the contract with America and all the growth Clinton took credit for. I could care less who got the credit, and people that aren't brain dead know how a bill becomes a law. Newt has and had vision that put this country on a roll. I wouldn't vote for him unless he won the Primary because I believe the Clinton Hit team has more stuff on him than Rudy and Newt would be polarizing like Rudy. A great President, very probable, a tax cutter to be sure, sunset b.s. legislation that costs us billions, avoid socialized healt care you bet. So we basically agree or disagree for different reasons. You wouldn't vote for him if it came down to New vs Hillary? Ha! |

| | | I'm tired of holding republicans to a higher standard than democrats. It's getting to the point where the media is exposing republican candidates affairs just to bring them down to the dem's level. In a world where less and less children share last names with their own mothers, I'm surprised that these disclosures even raise eyebrows.
Newt is the best and brightest that the republicans have. He's also a true conservative.
The man is leading or running a strong second amongst republican candidates in most polls and he hasn't even declared. If Newt were to declare tomorrow, Rudy would fall to a distant second and McCain would become a footnote. And like NoHitlery said, if it comes down to Newt and Hillary, who are you voting for. |

He would kick her butt all over the planet. |

| | | It would be a wonderful thing NoHitlery. After she and Slick Willy demonized and lied about him in the nineties, I wouuld love to see her face him one on one and defend her socialist agenda. He would expose her for what she truly is and leave no doubt. | | Remove This Ad By Registering. Join Our Hillary For President Forum For Free. Sponsored Links: | |

| | | I love Newt! But he has a serious hypocrisy problem, he is probably the strongest intellectual in the conservative movement. I don't think he can get elected |

| | | You're probably right PB. I'm a big Newt fan but his latest poll numbers showed that 50% of those polled would definately not vote for him. Even the Broom Rider polls better than that, dam*n it!! |

Thompson has a better image as a statesman.
For me, Newt is my first choice intellectually, but I realize he can't win, but if my choice is between Rudy, Mitt or John...Run Newt Run!
Rudy, Mitt and John...lack the vision thing...why should any one of them be President? |

| | | I'm afraid that Newt would be a sure loss. He has over a 50% disapproval rating. Better to run somebody who's more popular who at least has some of the Republican principles you have. I believe Rudy is the best choice considering all that. He may have the best chance of winning, but I wouldn't rule out Thompson. I think he could attract alot of votes. |
