Veteran Republican Congressman Ray LaHood criticized his party's vice presidential nominee Friday, saying that Sarah Palin's [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This No Hillary For President Forum Link. ""don't befit the office she's running for."
Rep. LaHood, who has represented Illinois' 18th district for seven terms and is retiring in January, [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This No Hillary For President Forum Link. that Palin should control the racially-charged heckling at her rallies:

"Look it. This doesn't befit the office that she's running for. And frankly, people don't like it."

Some of the names Obama is being called, which include "[LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This No Hillary For President Forum Link. ," "certainly don't reflect the nature of the man," LaHood said to WBBM.
LaHood supports John McCain's candidacy, but warned that the heckling could backfire on the Republican ticket.

I have a friend who is an Obama supporter. He is such an Obama supporter, he has even started looking forward to our "surge in Afghanistan". All the rhetoric of the Bush administration, from wars, faith based inititives, tax cuts, etc etc is now being embedded into the Democrats. It's the same line of BS. And my friend, which I respect alot, just seems to have lost his mind over Obama. I can't believe it. Because just 6 months ago, he was against anyone who voted for the Patriot act, war funding, homeland security etc etc...
But, back to the subject. The Republicans have pushed so much BS into the media, and has made many devoted republicans believe it, that I think they are expecting riots. Not that the Republicans have enough gut to actually riot. I think they will just sit on their computers and complain for months.

But seriously, all the rhetoric about Obama's connection with the homeleand terrorist guy, being a muslim, and other things.
Whats really bothersome about all the BS about Obama, is that there are many things that Obama has done, in favor of the GOP, that I can't see why they are worried. After all, he voted twice to give Bush and the GOP more money for Iraq. He voted in favor of the Patriot Act. He voted for McCain's immigration bill. And so many other things. He is pro-war. Pro-big government. And pro-anti-constitution. Just like the GOP.
