Unhappy Clinton Might Be Negotiating VP Spot on '08 Ticket, George Says

Quote:
Is Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., staying in the race to get the vice presidential slot?

George thinks so.

Clinton vowed to fight on today, despite a growing chorus that says Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., has just about wrapped up the Democratic presidential nominaton.

ABC's chief Washington correspondent George Stephanopoulos told Charles Gibson on "World News" that Clinton is staying in the race to negotiate a spot on the Democratic ticket in November.

WiseOne's Comments, while I realize Obama's judgment is a bit off (hatemonger preacher for 20 years), I hope it isn't off THAT bad to have Hillary Clinton as a VP!

If Obama picks her as his running mate, there goes any potentiality of me voting for him. Although picking her may help to unify the Democrat Party, it could also hurt Obama's chances. Republicans will turn up in droves and get behind McCain to make sure Hillary will not be a heart beat away from the Presidency. A good strategy for picking up some of the women who supported Hillary might be to pick a woman as his running mate. This would avoid causing a unification of Republicans behind McCain.

You better not wish for that, nohil-billy. Do you really want her a heartbeat away from the presidency? Obama better sleep with a gun under his pillow.

Thumbs down Shadows of Vince Foster

Herb-Vince Foster might be alive today if he had taken your advice. Again, I am correct about hillary. She will stop at nothing, and let nothing get in her way, in order to reach her goal of being president, no matter how long it takes. If Obama takes her on as the VP I will be voting for Ron Paul--and I will wear my tin foil hat proudly! Is there any way to start this election over and wipe the slate clean with three new candidates?

And in case anyone wonders why I do not capitalize hillary's name. It is because I have absolutly NO RESPECT for her or her lousy, non-inhaling, non-faithful, should have been impeached, lying rat of a husband. I will never buy the line of BS they try to sell the American people, PERIOD. It would be my dream that they would just go away--but that won't be happening, unfortunately, for a long time. STAY STRONG AMERICA. 33sharks-->out

Your right about that Herb. Obama's Nation of Islam body guards will have to sleep with him. I can just see their little bow ties pinwheelin' every time she came near.

33Sharks, you might want to look at Bob Barr on the Libertarian ticket if he gets the nomination. His views are very similar to Ron Paul's. Catch him on C-Span on Memorial weekend at the Libertarian convention.

Hillary VP Talk Gains Momentum

Thursday, May 8, 2008 4:59 PM

By: Newsmax Staff Article Font Size
In the face of mounting pressure on Hillary Clinton to drop out of the presidential race, Clinton “intermediaries” are discussing the possibility of Hillary running for vice president on a Barack Obama-Clinton ticket.
That’s the scuttlebutt being reported by ABC News’ chief Washington correspondent George Stephanopoulos, who said on “Good Morning America”:
“I think it’s very much a possibility and there are others around Senator Clinton, other top Democrats, who think the strongest ticket would be a joint ticket.
“There are intermediaries discussing this very scenario.”
Howard Wolfson, the Clinton campaign’s communications director, denies that she is interested in the vice president’s slot and insists she is focused on the remaining primaries.
But Obama now holds the edge in pledged delegates and is close to surpassing Hillary in the superdelegate count as well. Hillary’s campaign is also facing serious financial problems.
But the question remains: Would Obama want Clinton on the ticket?
“Senator Obama is probably reluctant to do this, given the feelings coming out of this campaign right now,” Stephanopoulos said.
But he also opined that Clinton would accept second billing on the Democratic ticket “if it was offered in the right way.”
James Pethokoukis of U.S. News & World Report agrees, writing in his “Capital Commerce” column that he believes Clinton “would rather make history — and maybe set herself up for 2012 if the ticket loses — than putter around the Senate.”

Please, please, Obama, please don't pick her!

Oh, my... Let's hope Barry doesn't even ask her. It will be a wonderful day when she just GOES AWAY, or is simply relegated back to the Senate for her serving of humble pie.

It's doubtful we'll even have to worry about her crawling back in 2012. She'll be as far beyond her expiration date as John Kerry was this year.
