Sport Baseball Obama Lead Evaporating

Obama's national lead over Hillary is down to a mere 3 points after leading by as much as 14 in February, and the latest poll shows Mcain leading Obama in a hypothetical match-up 46 to 40. That's a 13 point swing since the last poll.

Obama still shows strong support among blacks but is losing ground with moderates and independents.

Dick Morris has a good article in Newsmax.com today. He points out how Obama has already won the nomination because there's no way Hillary can catch his pledged delegate count and the superdelegates wouldn't dare go against the Democratic electorate by overturning their results.

I believe this issue will soon fade. Afterall, Wright and Michele aren't running for President.

Republicans seem to not have much confidence that they can defeat Obama on the issues so they have to result to a smear campaign of guilt by association.

Actually, in 9 recent polls, Obama is ahead of McCain in 5 of them.

Yeah, this will indeed fade. Obama has given his answers and unless Hill and Bill just keep hammering the race issue, little will come of it. Of course, if she can't let it go, then it will damage the party even more and polarize even more people....wait...isn't that one of the things she does best?

Until now I haven't seen any polls showing McCain ahead of Obama. So I guess 4 out of 9 isn't bad. So far!!!

Well, even Reuters is reporting Hillary with a good lead now after that preacher deal AND looks like she will win Pennsylvania by about a 10 point margin. AARGH!

I heard reports where she's up by as many as 16 points.

The Clinton strategy to make this about race, and I'm sure the Clintons were involved, has finally taken hold with the release of the Reverend Wright tapes. In spite of what other people on this thread think, Obama has not been able to satisfactorily explain away what his pastor said or his decision to continue embracing the man. We all may have racists friends that we put up with, but we're not all running for president.

I also heard yesterday that in an interview with David Gregory, Obama tried to explain away what he said about his grandmother by saying he was only trying to point out that she was a typical white person. Imagine that. We have no idea what it's like to be black but he knows what makes the typical white person tick. How special.
