Walter Reed Hospital Fiasco and VA System are Proof that Hillary Care Would Be A National Disaster

Early this morning I received the following note from God's gift to the Left Wing and all Socialists blaming the current horror as something that happened during the Republication Administration. There is absolutely no doubt that George W. Bush will take a hit on this as will our do nothing Republican majority Congress.
As someone who has been involved with Military Hospitals and VA Hospitals for over 40 years I've questioned the rationale for continued support of the VA system. It should be closed down. Patients have always received minor league care in comparison to their major league contribution to our freedom.
Why is it that members of Congress have plush fully paid PPO type health plans when our wounded Warriors go to whatever hospital is designated as a "center of excellence" in the system? Example:" During the Vietnam War soldiers with spinal cord injury were sent to Long Beach, CA Veteran's Hospital. A Veteran that needed a bone marrow or stem cell transplant is currently sent to the VA Hospital in Seattle. Doesn't make a difference where there love one are. Don't the deserve the best care at a Center of Excellence available in the private sector?
I'm glad this finally came to a head and something will be done about it. And for any Dem or Lefty with a smile on your face remember you have sat on committees and received letters from your constituents over the past 4 decades and what did you do about it? Nothing, absolutely nothing.
So before we hear calls of impeachment for George W. Bush, let's all take a big breath and be thankful that this horrible mess is going to be cleaned up.

Another Admin. and Republican-controlled congressional faux paux? Surely not; these righties have proven themselves to be such God-fearing, compassionate souls. "Support our troops," my ###! Hypocrisy anyone? Flag waving while fund cutting as thousands of maimed veterans return home? Really speaks poorly for those in power. Still waiting for Rove-speak to take the stink off of this one? Not much of a legacy, eh? Smells bad on both sides of the aisle. Absolutely nauseating.(My comments: Yes Bill you certainly are)

Shoot, Hillary-Care was such a freaking Socialist joke it is amazing it was EVER discussed PERIOD. Only reason it was allowed by good 'ol boy Bill was (I suspect) because Hillary was holding one of his "I didn't have sexual relations with that woman" escapades over his big head.

NoHitlery is right to compare the VA fiasco with Hillary Care. What we need to consider is that this is not an isolated incidence. Veterans have been complaining about VA hospitals for as long as I can remember.

This is what will happen if government is allowed to take over the health care system. Services will be rationed, hospitals will be understaffed, and facilities will deteriorate.
Don't believe for a second that the government could even come close to providing the level of care that's now provided by private hospitals.

Also consider the layers upon layers of government beauracracy and the cost of administration by the new Department of Health Care.

Let Hillary first fix some of the other government run fiasco's such as Conrail, Social Security, or the US Postal Service and come to us with with a track record of success rather than failure. Then maybe we could consider turning over our health care system, but not before.

I hope the Republicans don't give in to the Democrats' call for socialized medicine. I hope they fight it with all they've got and present some market reforms for health care. I hope they let the public know what they're in for with socialized medicine just as they did in exposing Hillary Care for what it was.
