| | McCain Wises Up Suggesting that Obama had made the subject fair play by declaring in an interview shown over the weekend on “Fox News Sunday” that questions about Mr. Wright were “a legitimate political issue,” McCain took the Reverend to task for comparing our Marines with Roman legionaires responsible for killing Jesus and suggesting that the United States was acting like Al Qaeda under a different color flag.
Obama and his minnions are running a two-pronged campaign. Barack offers hope and promise to his highly educated, mostly white backers while the Reverend Wright offers a revolution to the downtrodden and disenfranchised. Bringing attention to one hurts his credibility with the other so Obama tries to keep his pastor and other past associates out of the picture. That would be like telling Obama to worry only about Hillary and pay no attention to what Bill's saying.
McCain was wise to jump on this and would be wiser to continue exploiting the openings that question Obama's judgement and credibility. Obama has given very few specifics on what his plans are for America's future and has tried to make his past of limits. This leaves little more than the platitudes he spews during stump speeches.
My only other suggestion to McCain other than exploiting Obama's past associates is to not wait for permission from Obama to do so. McCain criticizes Obama’s ex-pastor | | Remove This Ad By Registering. Join Our Hillary For President Forum For Free. Sponsored Links:

| You're right on that one. Obama's judgment and credibility are DEFINITELY an issue now after revelations about Wright and the fact that he allowed to black panthers a link on his own campaign website. After listening to Wright, I now fully understand why Obama took the flag pin off of his lapel as well...makes perfect sense now! McCain would do well to play on that and not let the media bury it.

| | | Obama allowed the Black Panthers a link on his campaign website? I didn't know about that. It seems like a new revelation every day connecting him to radical groups, or persons. When I found out the other day that Tony Rezko was born in Syria I just shook my head. |

| | McCain getting more Celebrities out of Closet Just a BTW: on Fox & Friends this morng, seems like more Hollywood 'Conservative' celebrities are coming out of the closet to support McCain!! It is easier to do since McCain is seen as a Moderate and a Maverick...GOP Conservatives, put that in your pipe and smoke it....the Ultra-Right Cons, who got their panties in a wad, and who many rejected McCain and wanted a 'Me Too Bush' candidate (Mitt?) wouldnt have had a chance against either Demo candidate!!

What's wrong with that? If Rezko is a crook, what does it have to do with where he's from and what does this have to do with Obama? It's still all a game of guilt by association. As Jack Kemp said, he hates to see Obama go down on guilt by association, he would rather him go down on the issues. Ron Paul had a neonazi contributing to his campaign and also 9/11 truthers supporting him, but that didn't mean that Ron Paul held those beliefs. | | Remove This Ad By Registering. There is no more of a "me too Bush" candidate than McCain. McCain is basically running on a third term for Bush and as more people realize that, they'll start drifting away from him. There have been two McCains during his political career. The first was a Goldwater McCain as he tried to fill Goldwater's shoes. He was very opposed to foreign intervention, was pro-choice on abortion, and was very opposed to the religious right. This is the McCain that lots of moderates and liberals like. When they find out what the real McCain is like or today's pretend McCain, whichever might be the case, with his pro-war positions, his newly found pro-life position, and his sucking up to the religious right, look for them to change their opinions of him in a hurry. |

Being a maverick, yet bending to also be Bipartisan and not lock-step, is seen as a 'plus' by many. Remember, he is "the GOP" candidate, not the Conservatives, not the Moderates, etc. Face it, Herb, any other Repub Nom would not have had a chance against the Demos this election!!

You're right about that, jam, but you better hope that the Dems don't find out he's running on a pro-war and pro-life platform and has embraced the likes of Jerry Falwell and John Hagee, then his support goes way down, the Clinton supporters will end up voting for Obama.
