| Is this just wrong? i live in a small town in Upstate New York. Most of the residents are conservative, yet the town votes lib. Recently, a vote came up for the "transfer tax." It works like this: when you sell property for at least $X, you must pay a tax (5%, or thereabouts). For some reason, everyone for it said, "it protects our farms" and garbage. All it does is take money from some schmuck planning to retire to Florida. Now, it passed. How you asked. The liberal town leaders brought had buses pick up the students at nearby Bard college. Bard is a college full of liberal loon students and professors who idolize Noam Chomsky. Now, these liberal students helped pass a pointless tax, and it will never effect them! They do not own property, they will never sell it in the area, either. Is it just me, or this just wrong?
