This Election is 'Highlighting' Racism today This Election is 'Highlighting' Racism today!
I didnt really see this coming, as many 'modern' white folks, but there is still underlying bitterness and racial tension that I did not expect to see in this election! I really thought that, except for some white racial areas of the country, that we had transcended this issue. I'm sorry to say, we have not! The whole can of worms has been re-opened, with the 'real Black' feelings coming to the surface. Very sad that we havnt progressed further on this issue! I came up thru seating and restrooms that said 'White Only,' and I thought that 'my generation' had lead the way and broken thru the 'color' barrier. Apparently not to the extent that I had thought!!
I still can see the following scenarios:
1) If Hillary 'steals' the nomination from Obama--wide spread rioting!
2) If Obama gets the nom and runs against McCain, and a FL situation comes up where McCain wins thru something like a 'recount,'--- wide spread rioting!
Sorry to say, but I can see these things happening....
