| | What 'party leaning' is God? What 'party leaning' is God?
Well, lets see, I say that God is a Conservative since He is a traditionalist (I am the Lord, I change not). As opposed to Liberals, who are in rebellion to His principles & Laws (pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, do-your-own-thing, morality is relative to you, etc.) My definition of today's Liberals is:
1) Say one thing and do another---'open minded,' but yet 'intolerant' of others views.
2) Secular Humanism--says it all!
3) Separation of Church & State' means no practice of religion in public.
4) Govt has an obligation to take care of ppl, no matter if they are lazy or whatever they have done to ruin their lives and not take responsibility.
5) Compassionate & caring (BS!) for trees and animals, but put ppl's lives last!
6) And finally, they have 'No sense of humor' when under scrutiny!! They make everything serious or 'life or death.' Most dont have any 'joy' in their lives...

Don't generalize, most liberals aren't secular humanists. "Separation of Church & State' means no religion in public." Separation of Church & State means that no group can coerce their religious views on others through the power of the State, that nobody should be made to feel like a second class citizen because he doesn't agree with the views of the majority or the group in power. "Govt has an obligation to take care of ppl, no matter if they are lazy or whatever they have done to ruin their lives and not take responsibility." A position that I don't agree with liberals on. I'm opposed to the welfare state as well as the warfare state. "Compassionate & caring (BS!) for trees and animals, but put ppl's lives last!" Environmental extremists! Environmental extremism has become a new religion. "And finally, they have 'No sense of humor' when under scrutiny!! They make everything serious or 'life or death.' Most dont have any 'joy' in their lives..." This is another generalization. There are people with no sense of humor when under scrutiny among all political persuasions. There are people of all political persuasions who have no joy in their lives. |

My listings are generalizations but applicable to many, many. many of them that I have met or known! I still stand by my 'observations!'...

| | | I'm trying to be objective. I think a couple of your claims were generalizations that really could apply to lots of people regardless of their political or religious views.
As a libertarian, I'm closer to agreeing with liberals on some issues and closer to agreeing with conservatives on other issues. Notice my opposition above to liberals' extreme views on environmentalism. It has alway been my theory that since liberals are ant-capitalist, they enjoy blaming corporations for pollution. I think their current position on global warming is overblown. Sure, man's activities are partly responsible for global warming, but do we want to destroy our economy by trying to reach stringent standards, especially when we don't really know to what extent man is responsible for global warming. It would be better to make some minor adjustments that won't hurt our economy and beyond that, just adjust. The warming and sea level rise will be at such a low and gradual rate that we can easily adjust. This is one position that I agree with Bush on. I'm afraid that with McCain's, Obama's, and Hillary's commitment to the global warming hysteria, we might not be so lucky with the next President.
Also, notice that I'm opposed to the welfare state that liberals are so fond of. The welfare state has destroyed people's incentives. It has impoverished people. |

| | | The funny thing is, all political beliefs from any party are the same. Some liberals dont believe in gay marriage. Some republicans, as in John W. McCain, believes in gay marriage. Making assumptions and trying to make everyone who votes one party to be the same as every one else who votes for that party is making a false claim. I voted for John kerry, But, I'm not a liberal. I just didn't like the road Bush was taking us down. period. And the same to be said for the millions of people who have voted for Hillary or Obama in the primaries. THey may not agree with, or even know half of the things they stand for, but to them, it's trying to help america get away from this neocon strong hold that destroying this nation. creating a false sence of fear through the public that liberals are trying to do away with religion is not necessary. People will believe what ever they want to believe. People should be more informed before they go to the polls. Separation of Church & State. Means that we can't become a theocracy. Which is what the majority of the middle east is. My kid can still take a bible to school. People can still enter the court room with a bible in hand. | |
