Environmentalism or Terrorism

Am I the only person who thinks, that while Democrats talk about the environment, they are so much more passionate about global warming than they are about the destroying the current threat of Islamic Jihad and a nuclear Iran.

God, the environment is great, but why try to save her if we have all been nuked off the face of the Earth. But hey, thy are the left wing elite.

I have no problem with environmentalist trying to keep too much polution from our air and drinking water. We all have to have clean air and clean water to drink. And I have no problem with them keeping any species of animal or bug from becoming extinct. Due to the fact that they are not only Gods creatures. And because of the scientific research that could help us find a cure for a major disease in the future.

As in the fly that eats fire ants.

I do have a big problem with Hitlery, Obama and McCain, "NOT" taking nuclear attacks off the table. Considering that once a nuclear war breaks out, no one person or creature could possible survive a nuclear attack. And not to mention that I don't sincerely believe Russia or China would allow the US to get away with a nuclear attack on Iran. I believe those countries are closer allies than this administration is telling us.
We have other ways of bombing countries.

Take Iraq for example. When we bombed them, we used depleted uranium bombs. The shrapnal lying around after the bombing stopped, were picked up by children 6 years ago. And now, those children have become young adult making babies that are severly deformed. Creating a whole new generation of enemies.

Nuclear power is a good thing right now. THough it does use up natural resources that are taken from the ground. In a short time, we could advance onto bigger and better ways of energizing our homes and vehicles by using things that are renewable.

Lenahan, I don't think we have to worry about Iran blowing us up. Why would they nuke us when they know that we could retaliate and obliterate them as Hillary puts it? With the number of centrifuges that Iran has, it would take a whole year operating non-stop just to create one nuke. Why would Iran spend so much time and billions of dollars just to give their nuke to terrorists whom they couldn't be sure wouldn't use it against them or use it to blackmail them at some future point? Nukes also have footprints. Why would any country give terrorists nukes that could be traced back to them and be retaliated against? If it weren't for our meddling foreign policy, we wouldn't have to worry about terrorists nuking us in the first place.

I think global warming is overblown, but I also think the threat from Iran is way overblown. Both liberals and conservatives are engaged in a game of promoting hysteria. I'm not discounting the posibility of terrorists getting nukes. That's always possible, but the surest way to guantee that we won't be victims of that terrorism is to stop meddling over there.

This is true, h2l. Also, in the 2006 Israeli war on Lebanon, cluster bombs were used in civilian areas, of which 50% were defective. Kids pick up those undetonated bombs and get killed or seriously maimed for life.
