It doesn't matter h2l. What gives anybody the right to blow somebody else up just because they don't agree with them? What if I'm impoverished and decide to show up at a birthday party as the fireworks display. Would you be OK with that?

We invaded Iraq because they negated on 16 UN resolutions. What's the point of having a UN if nobody will enforce the rule of law. I agree with getting out of Iraq. Let's get out and move the UN there. Problem solved!

As for this country, it was doing real well up until the last year or so. Now let's see, what happened in the last year or so that would make such a difference? Oh yeah, the Democrats got control over congress and took over domestic policy. Enjoy!

The neocons had plans to overthrow Saddam Hussein for years. 9/11 gave them a way to get the support of the American people. There was no need for us to get involved in a war there. The neocons are supporters of Israel and Israel wants to be the dominant power in the Middle East so Saddam Hussein had to go. Next on the list is Iran. We also wanted to have more control over oil. Maliki was more or less forced into making a sweetheart deal with international oil companies. The World Bank excused a certain amount of their war debt from Desert Storm if they would sign the deal. Of course, why should they have paid the debt in the first place, when that was the responsibility of the previous Saddam Hussein regime?

I'm not one to defend the Democrats on domestic policy, but things were'nt going so well with a Republican controlled Congress. The Republican controlled Congress was spending like drunken sailors on leave and piling up a huge deficit. The Iraq War has been an economic disaster. All of this led to the Democrats gaining control of Congress in 2006. Not that they have done any better. We still have a huge deficit and are on the verge of a recession and the Democratic wimps have done nothing to get us out of Iraq. That's why Congress has an even lower rating in the polls than Bush.

I concider Clinton to be as much a neocon as the rest of em.

Well stated. The Democrats have done nothing to clean up the mess the republicans handed to them. They have continued down the same path that the neocons were going down before 2006. And it's just more of a reason to to stop blaming the "other side", and start looking and voting for a "new" side.

I like what the constitution party stands for. More Americans should be paying closer attention to the economic crisis we are in. And it's all about foreign policy, over paid agentcies, (dept. of education, transportation, homeland security) subsidies to big corporations, and to foreign countries.

The Republicans got us into this mess, and democrats don't have the gonads to get us out. So, neither side is worth throwing a rock at. We have got to start voting in people who are truely conservitive. Not just the ones that say they are. But the ones that have a proven track record of supporting smaller government, less foreign intervention, less taxes, less support for illegals and their welfare programs.

h2l, take a look at Bob Barr. He's close to Ron Paul in his viewpoint and might be running on the Libertarian ticket this year.

Libertarians would be OK, if they weren't so "John McCainish, or Barack Obama-ish, or Clinton-ish on immigration.
The illegals aren't just picking oranges anymore. I think the libertarians believe their should be no borders. I need to research that to be sure. But if they do, then I can't support it.

The Constitution Party seems to be where I'm leaning.
