| | | Rudy's always been a republican, he just happens to be a social liberal. No different than a lot of them repblican senators from New England. I'm a social moderate and have always voted republican even though I have differences with some republican institutions such as the religious right and the NRA.
The republicans, first and foremost stand for smaller government, free enterprise, and strong military/law enforcement. Rudy fits the bill. | | Remove This Ad By Registering. Join Our Hillary For President Forum For Free. Sponsored Links: | |

I do however, have a problem with their advocacy of automatic weapons. Regardless of how much experince a firearms owner has, allowing private ownership of these weapons is akin to allowing Jeff Gordan to drive his Indy car at 200+ mph down I80 because he's an expert driver.
I support the NRA and it's fight against the anti-gun loons, but the issue of automatic weapons is what keeps me from becoming a member. |

Rudy is not against the Second Ammendment, all politics are local, as they say, and if you were the new Republican Mayor of NYC as he once was wouldn't you agree to curb use and purchase of assult rifles and automatic weapons, that at the time out gunned the NYPD? I'm a member of the NRA and have no problem with Rudy. One has to be able to think, not just spit out NRA talking points. I'm doing just fine with my Glock and a sawed off shotgun. |

| | | Hey, my Glock works very well as well. I do NOT need an assault rifle, BUT I am kind of on the fence on this one...I AM and NRA member, but somethings I really wonder if we need out there is all I'm saying. And, yes, I was in the Army so I AM for gun rights, of course. As far as that, I think Giuliani will be ok, he seems to have a good head on his shoulders...

| | | If you remember, The Donald was considering the Reform Party nomination in 2000. I say, watch him on this fight and watch him sway it one way or the other.

| | | Hey WiseOne, no need to be on the fence. My opinion on automatic weapons is just that, my opinion. I was just explaining to G-man that while I had differences with certain Republican leaning groups, I still believed in the basic tenets of the Republican party. |

| | | Can someone tell me how in god's name Hillary got elected? She is from the midwest!!! I truly long for the days when the left and right argued over how to improve the US, not bicker over which party hurts the country more, which we know is the left. |

I have no clue how New York elected Hillary Clinton...it sickens me to this very day! That would be like us voting for a steaming pile of dung. Enough idiots and that pile of dung WILL win. I am with George Washington on political parties, there should be none. Too late now, IMHO.
