In an article today in "Hillary Project", a writer pointed out how if Hillary should gain the lead in overall popular vote, she will no doubt make a moral case for having the super delegates give her the nomination on that basis. Obama could argue the unfairness of that by saying the caucus states that he won, had they had primaries instead of caucuses may have given him more popular votes.

This race isn't over. Obama needs to regain the momentum somehow or we can very well have the witch in the general election.

The democrats need to overhaul their whole primary system. There are so many scenarios right now it's pathetic. It looks like it may be a brokered convention and much of the outcome could hinge on what they finally do with Michigan and Florida.

It will be interesting to see what happens with all of those delegates that have been abandoning her for the last couple of weeks assuming it was over. Break out the shovels.

To the OP: yes, and yes.

She has all the superdelegates in her back pocket, and after yesterday, they're not going anywhere. Yes, their convention will be brokered, neither will have the nimber of pledged delegates going in. But Hillary will drag out the superdelegates and then (probably) be forced to pick Obama as the VP.

Then THAT ticket will be almost impossible for Juan to beat, no matter who he chooses, or what he says or does.

I have a feeling you are right on this one. I have been thinking the same thing. She is crude and she CAN get the super delegates on her side, I think. I do think Obama would take VP, but Hillary is so higher-than-thou that I don't think she would accept VP. You're right, with Hillary and Obama on same ticket, Juan cannot beat her...it will be fruitless. BUT, what about this do-over in FL and MI? IF that happens, hell...who knows! What a mess, LOL.

"what about this [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This No Hillary For President Forum Link. ?"

I believe that would be only fair, but there is a move to have the current makeup of Florida and Michigan delegates seated without a do-over. That would be unfair and if it gave the nomination to Hillary, would cause a split in the Democrat Party. Hillary will throw some crums to the Obama people by picking him as her running mate, but would that satisfy Obama supporters or would they switch over to McCain. McCain is popular with alot of white Democrats. I don't know what blacks would do. They like Hillary and would love Obama to at least become VP. But, could they stomach Hillary for stealing the nomination from a man who had a chance to become the country's first black president?

The Republican governor of Florida is pushing for Florida's Democratic delegates to be seated as is without an expensive do-over primary or even a cheaper cost caucas. He says it's so the voters in Florida won't be disenfranchised. I don't know him and can't read his mind but I can't help but wonder if there is some deeper motivation involved. He may be trying to help Hillary win because she would be easier to beat in the general election. If that's the case, I wish he would go back outside and work on his tan and stop mucking with the Democratic primary system.

Dennis Miller gave the best description of Hillary I've ever heard. She reminded him of Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction and that's exactly how mentally ill she is. It truly fits her. Obama should have responded to the telephone ad--nobody in their right mind would call Hillary at 3:00 a.m. for anything other than to demand a Federal pay off for corruption rendered.

Picture Hillary and Bill in McCain's prison circumstances with their bodies brutalized and in solitary for 2 years and cowardice is the only thing that will come to mind----I'll vote for McCain despite my annoyance regarding his immigration platform because I know he'll make sure no call ever comes at 3:00 a.m.

The sad lesson for me is to know how desperate and uninformed the elderly women of this country are that they feel they can relate to Hillary.

Herb, I know you are aware that Michigan is in the same death nell Ohio is in and look to the horrifying woman governor Jennifer Grandthief for the mess we're in. She tried to put a 6% sales tax on all the service people. When that didn't work for her, she decided to steal from the poor and reduced the food stamps in half from the few remaining poor left in the state. Shades of Hillary Clinton, the Grand Pooh Bah of Enabling all vice to feed her mental illness.

According to the latest Washington Post/ABC poll, Obama is ahead of McCain by 52 to 40, Hillary is ahead of McCain 50 to 44. McCain offers no change from Bush and the public is sick of Bush. It appears that unless the Democrats bloody themselves up so much that they become unelectable, we will have a Democrat President. I would rather it be Obama insstead of Hillary.

Hillary and the media are making a big deal of Hillary's wins on Tuesday, but after all the dust has settled, Hillary only picked up 4 delegates on Obama. She won 187 to Obama's 183. This is why she needs to win huge in Pennsylvania and have Michigan's and Florida's delegates seated and do as good as possible in all the rest of the primaries to try to get closer to Obama's lead to where she can talk enough super delegates into voting for her and putting her over the top.

The Clinton camp can dish it out but they can't take it. Now that Obama has started hitting hard at Hillary, Wolfson is accusing Obama of acting like Ken Starr. How dare Obama bring up old matters that Hillary has already been vetted over! So they should be free to throw all the dirt they want at Obama, but Obama better dare not soil Queen Hillary's pant suit.

Seriously folks, the GOP made such a mistake running John W. McCain, that even Ralph Nader could beat McCain. Sound like a stretch? I don't think so. People are so sick of this war, and spending, high fuel prices, falling stocks, housing bubble, enemies in foreign countries.

I just hope that if Hillary or Obama get elected, that they really try to make a good empression for their race of gender so that this country won't be so scared to elected a black or a woman in office again.

It looks like all we can do is sit back and hope that all the things we fear, won't come true about the Democrats having office.

But we know, there will be amnesty, Mexican truckers, no end to our middle eastern conflicts.
