The LA Times wonders if Fred Thompson could survive the role he played as a white supremacist in a TV show over 18 years ago, even offering subtle suggestions on how to use it against him.

Note to LA Times; Sen. Robert Byrd played that same role much earlier in his life, and may I add, much more convincingly.

At hillaryproject.com, you can vote for the Republican candidate that you think can most easily defeat Hillary. Currently, Ron Paul is in the lead at 30%. There must have been alot of people that watched the debate that were impressed with him.

EXACTLY! The words KKK come to mind, you are right. Oh, Oh, and BTW, Massachusetts elects a murderer to the Senate every 6 years...so that is IDIOTIC for the LA Times to say. Why don't they get into the REAL WORLD?

I wonder how a former Klansman gets reelected time after time in this day and age? Could it be another example of selective outrage from the main stream media?

I remember a few years ago when David Dukes was running for the senate from Louisianna and he made an appearance on "Meet The Press." Always the as*hole, Tim Russert introduced him as "former Klansman, David Dukes." When Dukes took his seat he asked Russert if he ever had Congressman Bobby Rush, D-IL on his show. When Russert replied that he had, several times, Dukes asked him why he never introduced him as former Black Panther, Bobby Rush. Russert was speechless!!!

The MSM was quick to pounce on an innocent statement made by Trent Lott while honoring Strom Thrmond on his birthday, and they are now quick to point out a role played by Fred Thompson as a possible negative. Yet I can think of nothing more contradictory than a former Klansman representing the "supposed" party of the down trodden and disenfranchised. Yet every six years, the MSM chooses to look the other way. And they call FNC one-sided?
