When suffering from the kind of identity crisis that he's afflicted with, it's probably the best move he could make. Mr. Hagel knows that conservative Nebraskans would have thrown his a*s out in the primaries and I believe he's trying to avoid the embarassment.

I'm glad he'll be gone. He is just another gasbag RINO and his toying with running for president was silly.

I agree, he's looking out for number one so he doesn't suffer the inglorious defeat that would have come for him. Nebraskan's will be glad to get rid of him I am sure. He looks/acts like a bitter old man.
