Just an old Hippie

I've come to the conclusion that Herb is just an 'old' Hippie.' Liberal and rebellious as the ones I knew back then; looking for another JFK, and trying to make Obama look like one. False idealism over reality.

I don't want another JFK. I want another Thomas Jefferson or James Madison or Grover Cleveland. Back in those days, the Democrats had good candidates. I would also take another Barry Goldwater or Robert Taft. Those were good candidates on the Republican ticket. I didn't vote for Obama, I voted for Bob Barr. I am glad that Obama is going to defeat McCain. Finally, we can get rid of those neocons and the way they're destroying our economy with their wars, and the way they're undermining the world's opinion of America, and the way they're destroying the Middle East with all the death and destruction they've brought there. Was Robert Taft a hippie? He would be just as opposed to the neocons if he were alive today.

Most hippies don't have the free market point of view that I have. I'm not the liberal that you think I am, Jam. You only think that because you don't know the difference between a liberal and a libertarian. You probably think I really look like the pictures you attached. I don't! People have told me I look like Bill Gates. I wish I had his money.

A social liberal/fiscal conservative is a libertarian. I'm proud of being a social liberal. It means I'm open minded, unlike you, Jam.

Nohil-billy never had me figured out. Some days he called me an anti-Semitic just because I was opposed to the policies of the neocons and some of the actions of the Israeli government. Other times he called me a Muslim. Other times he called me a Nazi. Other times he called me a Communist. Other times he called me a liberal. Other times he called me a supporter of Obama when in reality I was supporting Barr. Other times he called me a hater of America because I am opposed to our foreign policy. I guess it's easier to engage in name calling than to discuss issues.

I suspect you're upset about the outcome of the election, Jam, so you've decided to take it out on me.
