The Rev Wright, Obama's 'former' pastor, is the keynote speaker at an NAACP meeting in Detroit. Normally the mtg draws 'thousands,' but with Wright speaking, numbers coming are 'tens of thousands!'
COMMENT: My experience with the racial tensions in Detroit were 1st experienced 7 yrs ago at a truck stop just outside Detroit----nothing but non-stop bashing of Blacks vs. Red Necks on the CB for hours!! Pretty disgusting...!

Post keynote address, the Obama camp must have breathed one huge, collective sigh of relief when it was over!! Obama name mentioned 3 times but to differentiate Arab-haters from Islamofacist haters. Said that the NAACP is not partisan or into politics, but still got his 'Change' message in!!
Forum is out on his right/left-brain message in regards to black thinking vs. white thinking, subjective vs. objective, given as a fact---- but many are questioning?! Said different is not deficient...
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright says criticism surrounding his fiery sermons is an attack on the black church...
...He said the black church tradition is not bombastic or controversial, but different and misunderstood by the "dominant culture" in the United States.
Now let's see if I'm getting this straight. The reverend Wright says "America's chickens are coming home to roost," "God Da*m America," and calls this country the "U.S. of KKK A." and is insulted when we take offense at his remarks saying we don't understand the black church.
Barack Obama, who apparently doesn't understand small town America, calls us bitter and says we cling to our religion and guns because of hopelessness. With no apologies offered except for his choice of words.
It seems to me that everytime Obama and his supporters say something offensive, we are the ones that misunderstood. Hmmmm. Seems to me, what we have here, is a failure to communicate. Reverend Wright and Barack Obama should come to the realization that as a mere 13% of the population, it is they that need to assimilate. Not us.

Wright did point out he was as unhappy with Obama joining the corruption of our government as much as Obama is unhappy over having to try and explain Wright. I have never found Wright's comments anything but insensitive to those who haven't experienced the government corruption of which he speaks. He tells it the same way Ron Paul did and having lived it, I understand it.
Regarding Michelle Obama, I spoke earlier about what an outstanding speaker she is. She's the one who should be running against Hillary and I would love to make hillary debate Rev. Wright and Michelle. Too many have pointed out the one statement Michelle made about not being proud of America which is an unjustified media hit against her. I also feel, it's the same regarding Wright's speeches.
Listening to Michelle speak on c-span from Pennsylvania was a great experience for me. Finally, a woman stepped forward.
Alas, I refuse to subject my fellowman to anything worse than a Republican at the helm. That will be bad enough if we don't get John replaced. (I hope we hear more from Bob Barr) The Socialist liberalism of the Obamas and Clintons would be reaching too far under the food chain for me to be able to sleep nights, so this group remains one and the same in their platform against my fellow citizens and our Constitution, but I won't use a false argument against them. It's the Constitution they continually ignore in all their statements that I find the most offensive. They never use the word or refer to it. They just keep announcing all the ways they are going to reject it.
"Barack Obama, who apparently doesn't understand small town America, calls us bitter and says we cling to our religion and guns because of hopelessness. With no apologies offered except for his choice of words. "
I think that people have taken the wrong message over Obama's comments. My take on them is that Obama like Hillary believes that the solutions to people's problems is the government. I say get the government out of the way and let people live their own lives. The government doesn't owe the bitter small towners a living. It's up to the small towners to make it on their own, and they'll be more likely to do so with the government out of the way.

Reverend Wright has a psycological problem. He has a chip on his shoulder. This problem plaques lots of blacks and immigrants. They've been hurt in the past by whitey. I say it is time they get over it and assimilate as some have like Thomas Sowell, J. C. Watts, George Shuyler, Clarence Thomas, Walter Williams, etc. After having said that, I take into account what my immigrant wife told me. She said we whites can't understand what blacks, hispanics, and immigrants go through because we havn't been in their shoes.

A point well taken Sys, but, I couldn't sleep nights if I voted for McCain and his lust for war and all the innocent people who will be killed because of that lust.

Dont confuse being a strong country with a strong military as being 'war mongers' and 'having a lust for war!!' Those are both cheap shots and Liberal rants. As McCain is against torture of any kind, as a former warrior no past warrior looks forward to another war. But......dealing with the Middle East countries from a position of strength is the only language that they understand!! They use 'words' to manipulate, haggle, and impose their wills in their own cultures.....'words' are weakness, but 'muscle' is strength. Iran sees us as weak right now because of our 'undersized military' and being spread so thin, and dont forget the will to fight (thk you cheap word Libs!!). They understand 'bluff,' whereas the Libs dont, and so we dont have any trump cards to play---McCain understands 'trump' cards and playing from a position of strength---most current & former military warriors do too!!
I understand the necessity for military might as the answer which Ron Paul so correctly tried to get across to the liberals, but they don't get it. The point being, we wouldn't be in the position we're in now if the Clintons had not destroyed that might. Therefore, we are forced to stand our ground which the liberals also do not see.
The remarks of Obama and Wright have been taken out of context and the media frenzy is on its "kill off Obama" run and it's hard not to smell the Clintons behind this idiocy. IT'S THE SOCIALIST PARTY AGAINST THE CONSTITUTION STUPID! and obama and clinton refuse to follow it. Total government control is obama and clinton and the reason why I refuse to vote any liberal ticket. Mccain is not the strength we need. McCain is a liberal fill-in and, as I said, the worst thing I would do to my fellow citizens.
I just came from Socialist Party USA website which is the liberal platform. The liberal party doesn't have the guts to say this is the platform they follow. They have their own lapel pin SPUSA the liberals should wear instead of the American Flag.
Quote from SPUSA: the production of society is used for the benefit of all humanity.---where working people own and control the means of production and distribution through democratically-controlled 'PUBLIC AGENCIES".
The Socialist Party strives to establish a radical democracy that places people's lives under their own control - a non-racist, classless, feminist socialist society.
Socialist Party members joined hundreds of thousands of Pro-activists across the US to demand the immediate withdrawal from Iraq on the 5th anniversary of the war.

Ron Paul also has a website worth reviewing and to study his Constitutional Platform of military might as the answer of our strength that removes all wars.
Thomas PM Barnett also has a website and is proclaimed {"the great strategist of our time"). He answered the demand of Congress to appear before them with his lectures. He did so, therefore the Congress then voted the approval of the Iraq war, not something George Bush hid from them.
(another Hillary lie) I watched his lectures on C-Span because one should pay close attention to the propaganda filth we are handed by said Congress via the Socialist Party USA.
A quote from Dr. Barnett: "Too often, the entire process gets short-circuited by a chattering class of op-ed columnists and network television experts who insist on issuing score cards on a daily basis, instead of exploring the long term issues that both shape and are shaped by the national security strategy that this nation pursues."
By the way, Dr. Barnett is a liberal. As we see by the great divide they allow Hillary to create within their party and McCain's continual mind changing Conservative platform, both parties are no longer viable and it's time to insist we return to our Constitution of Individual Rights. We have an Individual Right not to be stuck with the stomach-wrenching leftovers of a failed two party system.
"Dont confuse being a strong country with a strong military as being 'war mongers' and 'having a lust for war!!'"
It is good to have a strong military for defense, but I can't help but believe that there are plenty of politicians and bureaucrats who look for excuses to get involved in war simply because they have a lust for war.
"I understand the necessity for military might as the answer which Ron Paul so correctly tried to get across to the liberals, but they don't get it. The point being, we wouldn't be in the position we're in now if the Clintons had not destroyed that might. Therefore, we are forced to stand our ground which the liberals also do not see."
But Ron Paul spent more time criticizing the conservative hawks for getting us involved in wars that were none of our business.
"Congress then voted the approval of the Iraq war"
Congress never declared war on Iraq. They shirked their Constitutional authority by giving Bush the authority to go to war if he so chose to.
