Well, he is an ole guy, but I'm not so sure about the patriot bit. I believe to be a patriot, you have to have a regard for the Constitution which McCain doesn't. McCain has shown that he has no regard for the 1st Amendment with his McCain/Feingold legislation. He has stated that contrary to what the Constitution says about only Congress having the power to declare war, he believes the President can single handedly send this country to war. | | | Remove This Ad By Registering. Could someone point out to me where in the bible these sermons fit in?
Does anyone know what scripture he quoted on these days? |

| | | christinarn, in my opinion these churches are not that far removed from the mosques where religious teaching is intertwined with hatred of the west. These churches are run by faux pastors with the title reverend slapped in front of their names. They preach hatred for the white man and blame every negative in their lives on white people. They refuse to acknowledge their 69% drop-out rate or their 60% illegitimacy rate while they blame us because they can't get jobs and live in poverty.
Guys like Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, and yes, Barrack Obama take advantage of these people to further their own agendas. There is no way in the world that Barrack Obama was unaware what was going on in this church. He's lying!!! |

| | | I think the thing that keeps blacks, and others for that matter, down is the Welfare State and that is something that both Hillary and Obama are great fans of. That's what I meant by Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams being good black candidates. They are both opponents of the Welfare State. Hell, I would vote for those two for President before all of the candidates that were running in the beginning, even before I would vote for Ron Paul. |

| | | I'm not familiar with Walter Williams but I agree 100% on Thomas Sowell. Whenever a black person tells me I don't know because I'm not black, I reach for Thomas Sowell.
For many young people, running drugs or getting pregnant and going on assistance is an attractive alternative to finishing school and getting a job. It's easy money right now. What they don't realize is that once them babies come or once they get arrested it's about ten times harder to get their lives back in order and accomplish something. The Welfare system created the single parent home. These children grow up in poverty and will grab at the first shiny thing you twirl in front of them.
These churches absolve them of all blame for their bad decisions by assuring them that it's the white man's fault. Obama knew!!! | | Remove This Ad By Registering. Join Our Hillary For President Forum For Free. Sponsored Links:

| | | I heard this week that the reverend Jeremiah Wright is a former Muslim. Whether he was a Muslim of Middle Eastern persuasion or with the Nation of Islam led by Louis Farrakhan is unknown at this time. The two are quite different.
christinarn, when he said it was in the bible we can't be sure to which one he was refering. As I said before, this church is a front for radical beliefs and idealism. Connections are being made between Farrakhan, Wright, and Obama's seemingly blind eye to everything associated to radical Islam.
Read what the Nation of Islam is all about. What they believe and what they think the solution should be. Then ask yourself what Obama means when he says "change." He's very non-specific about the details of this "change." |

| | | I'm saying that he appears to be mixed up with a cabal that believes that way and offers no apologies for it. If you could take off your rose-colored goggles when looking at Obama, you might see it too.
When anybody disagrees with Barak Obama, he will come up with an explanation as to why that person is dysfunctional. When we disagreed with what his pastor said, it was because we needed to look at our rascist past.
Since moving to a small town, I've hunted for the first time, and went skeet shooting several times. This is simply something that is still done in small town America. But Barak Obama is anti 2nd amendment so the reason we have guns is because we're economically insecure.
If small town people still believe more in God than their urban counterparts, it's most likely because they haven't been corrupted with big city ideals. Not because they're economically insecure.
You see Herb, Obama believes that if you disagree with him, then you have some ulterior motive to do so. Never mind that hunting, target shooting, or skeet shooting are part of small town life. To Obama, your gun is a crutch for some social ill. He thinks we're mad because government left us behind when in reality, we wish government would just leave us alone. We can get by without government very well, thank you.
But to get back to your question. Obama has thrown down the gauntlet. He promises change but hasn't been very specific about what that change is. He says he wants to build a bridge but I don't see him wanting to meet in the middle, just offering us a span to his way of thinking.
Obama has embraced the Nation of Islam in the past. His pastor was a former Muslim turned Christian whose oratory is closer to that of his Muslim buddy Louis Farrakhan than to that of a Christian like Billy Graham. Obama refuses to disavow his pastor or his pastor's association with these people. Why? Listen to the man talk and notice that he is never wrong and all of his ideas are the right ones. Only we have no idea what he has in store for us because he's not saying.
Yes Herb, I do believe that Obama favors a Muslim state. The first bill sponsored by Mr. Obama in the Senate has us giving over 840 Billion dollars to Africa over the next ten years above and beyond what we give them now. Mr. Obama seems to have a soft spot for the continent of Africa and a blind eye toward Islamic terrorism.
