USA Raise Taxes For Social Security

Barack Hussein Obama has suggested that we lift the Social Security Tax cap to save the SS system. While I agree with him in principle, I wonder why every time the system is in trouble, the politicians want to raise our taxes to save it. If I'm not mistaken, we are in this situation because the politicians have raided the system over the years and caused it to teeter on the edge of insolvency.

How about a new solution? Why can't we raid the fund that pays the pensions of our elected officials and other government employees? They have raided our pension fund over and over and have never paid it back, so why not transfer funds from theirs to ours?

This goes beyond Social Security. We elect them to run this country and pay them quite handsomely to do so. So why do they always want to raise our taxes when they mismanage what we entrusted them with. How about they resign immediately when one of their programs fails? How about they take a pay cut for non-performance? How about we start holding them accountable.

Gee, I thought the democrats were for helping the little guy... Oh, wait, that means taking away from the little guy. Yeah, I see it: Take thousands of dollars from the average joe, and use it for...little pet projects. I wonder how long till we have the Woodstock museum. Am I the only New Yorker who thinks the 60s and the hippy communes were not great. Gee, I guess people still think protesting against those "murderers" returning from Nam was great. Hippies and Woodstock were despicable.

No kidding! I think if ANY Democrat gets in we might as well not even go to work as MOST of our check will go to taxes and gas! No sense in even moving out of the driveway! BUT, Hillary will utterly bury us in taxes so she scares me the most of all! Sigh. I almost feel as if we are doomed either way as I think a Democrat WILL get in and quite possibly Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Arkansas Razorback. This makes me sick to even think about it all. AARGH.

Now i'm not good at this politics deal but, he wants to make it affect only the taxes of those making over 95k, which is 6% of the American population. So it really wouldn't affect the "little people".

What's the basis for that statistic?

Actually, it does affect the little people. The wealthy invest, which creates jobs. If the wealthy are taxed more, they have less money available to invest, thus fewer jobs are created and maybe even jobs lost because of not enough investment.
