| | It is amazing that guilt by association only applies to Obama.
At this point I am looking forward to Obama as president so that all the misery he will inflict will come to pass. Cronyism, favoritism, racial strife instead of understanding. Irresponsible foreign policy, irresponsible fiscal policy. And then what for this country? That will mean 12 years straight of political failure. In my March 21st paycheck 30% went to federal tax, which would be fine if I made a lot of money. I will never see that money again. All the give me's and I want's will.
We are fighting a war I don't agree with. I work like a dog to break even. There will be no social security for me when I retire.
While I understand that Obama will recieve endorsements from polititians and celebrities who believe he will be the most easily manipulated to further their own personal agendas, I do not understand what is going on in this country that we could elect someone by popular vote like Obama. If the African American community wanted to put forth a worthy candidate there are so many other worthy options. It is very sad.
This election has become all about who we LIKE the best not the most effective leader. Not the most qualified leader. I hope the MTV generation loves their MTV president. Hillary is a liar and McCain is too old.
It is very sad that so many people will let their tabloid driven emotions cast their vote in a very important election.
I wonder if there really are people out there who would consider leaving the country?
Just curious. |

| | | christinarn, if you want to look at cronyism, just look at Hillary. She has the same crooked cronies supporting her that supported Bill.
Favoritism: the Clintons will give favoritism to all tha same cronies they gave favoritism to in the '90's and anybody new who is willing to give them large donations.
Racial strife: You havn't seen the racial strife that we'll see in Denver this year if Hillary succeeds in stealing the nomination.
Irresponsible fiscal policy: How will Hillary's fiscal responsiblility be any greater than Obama's? She's a big tax and spend liberal just like Obama.
"In my March 21st paycheck 30% went to federal tax, which would be fine if I made a lot of money. I will never see that money again. "
Both Hillary and Obama have promised to increase taxes. Only McCain has claimed not to raise taxes.
"All the give me's and I want's will."
Just like Hillary said, "We're going to take things away from you for the good of the country".
"While I understand that Obama will recieve endorsements from polititians and celebrities who believe he will be the most easily manipulated to further their own personal agendas"
Exactly the type of people who are supporting Hillary. People like Bernard Schultz received special deals from Bill for his contributions, that's why he's supporting Hillary, to receive the same type of benefits like getting to sell secret information to China which has allowed China to be more accurate in their missiles aimed at US cities which is what they got from Bill.
"If the African American community wanted to put forth a worthy candidate there are so many other worthy options. "
I'm curious, christinarn, which African Americans you consider more worthy. I personally think Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams would be more worthy. The big reason for Obama's popularity is his charisma. In spite of what nohill-billy thinks, I think Obama is more honest than Hillary, which wouldn't be very hard to be. My main opposition to Obama is his left wing politics. My main opposition to McCain is that he will just be a third term for Bush and I think we need to rethink this disastrous foreign policy. I don't think we have a great choice among the three top candidates. At this point, I'm leaning towards Obama if the race is close in Texas, otherwise, I'll probably vote Libertarian as I usually do. |

Herb, so many people are so enamored by the fresh face and glib tongue of Barak Obama, they are willing to overlook what little we know of his jaded past. I know who Hillary is and what she thinks and I don't like it. Now Obama! What little I know of his past is at best, unsavory. If I chalk it up to mere "guilt by association" as you suggest, I am left with a talking head spewing platitudes and giving very few clues as to where his vaunted promise of "CHANGE" will take us.
With the disclosure this week that his pastor was a Muslim, that he's tight with Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, and that he joined Farrakhan on a trip to Libya to meet with Qaddafi while he was the chief sponsor of international terrorism, I can only wonder why Obama finds it so important to cling to this controversial figure. With very little forthcoming from Obama in the way of an explanation, I can hardly view him as more honest than Hillary. |

| | | Starr was sitting on an indictment for Hillary, but never served it because he felt there wasn't a jury that would convict her. Not because she wasn't guilty, but because there would be some people on the jury that like her and would never convict her, just like on the case with OJ. | |
