christinarn, I know you Hillary fans like to discount all the scandal about Hillary, but it has been reported so extensively by both the left and right. You may want to blame it all on Bill, but from all that I've read, Hillary was behind nearly all the scandals and coverups.

Regarding any corruption on Obama's part, he can't come close to Hillary.

Regarding Obama's pastor, I like what Jack Kemp said on Hannity's radio program last Friday. He said he would hate to see Obama go down on the basis of guilt by association. He would rather Obama go down on the issues such as his plans to raise taxes and his plans to socialize medicine which are incidentally things that Hillary also supports. I'm opposed to McCain's warmongering and to Hillary's and Obama's socialism, but if I have to choose between the three of them, I'll choose Obama because he's not nearly the crook that Hillary is and not the warmonger that McCain is and that Hillary probably also is from what I know about her past, talking Bill into bombing Bosnia and strongly supporting the war in Iraq until she found it politically damaging for her to do so.

christinarn, There have been too many books written about this woman by people who were closest to her, and very little of it is good. She was behind the firings of those in the travel office and created trumped up charges against them to get her own cronies in there. All were aquitted and many spent their entire life savings defending themselves. She's also a great defender of women's rights, until she is defending her philandering husband against charges of rape and being a sexual predator. Then it's always the women's fault. She showed open disdain for the military while she was first lady, but now embraces the military leadership when it's politically expediant for her national security credentials. This woman is a hypocrite and there is no way around it. We know which Hillary you will vote for, but do you know which Hillary you'll get?

I am not exactly a Hillary fan and I am attempting to look at the three candidates and choose the lesser of all evils, sadly. And I really resent the implcation that you believe I haven't done my research and homework on all these people. I know what has been written, I know what has been said. As I said before a lot of books, magazines, newspapers and TV ads have been sold making a lot of people rich.
Bill is a philanderer but rapist and sexual predator? A woman goes to a hotel room with a man and then cries rape. Big mistake. I could never put myself in that situation because I have self esteem, brains and can think of better ways to make money.

My primary concern is that going FORWARD things get better. I have faith that Hillary has learned from mistakes in the past.

Hillary Clinton is no more a hippocrite than any other polititian. (see Elliot Spitzer) They all say what they want to get what they want, Obama and Mc Cain included. It is sad that our political system is so corrupt with lobbyists, PACS, payoffs, secret deals and so on. No candidate will interfere with this system because it will only hurt them and their bank account.
An Obama presidency will implode and leave us with greater problems. I think he is a radical black with a slight scent of Muslim and he will govern with that big chip on his shoulder.

The only way I would be remotely happy with Mc Cain is if he choose a strong vice president, like Condoleeza Rice, who is actually is extremely well prepared to be president. She knows the game and she knows how to play it.

Hillary is the best prepared candidate to manage this country the next four years.

"Bill is a philanderer but rapist and sexual predator?"

According to Juanita Broaderick, he is a rapist. According to Kathleen Willey, he is a sexual predator. I would believe them over Slick Willy because they have no reason to lie, and Bill Clinton is a proven lier.

If you don't think Hillary is a crook, what is she hiding? Why won't she release her tax returns, memos and emails from her time in the White House, the donors list to Bill's charity and the library, and a list of her earmarks? Hillary's corruption is not a matter of mistakes, it's a matter of deliberate criminal activities.

Regarding lobbyists, what about Obama's refusal to take campaign money from lobbyists? Hillary defended her reliance on lobbyists for campaign donations. The Clintons have benefitted from lobbyists in the past and they obviously plan to in the future with more quid pro quos.

"An Obama presidency will implode and leave us with greater problems. I think he is a radical black with a slight scent of Muslim and he will govern with that big chip on his shoulder."

Do you have any evidence for this other than his pastor? I know of no such evidence, but there is plenty of evidence of Hillary's corruption.

"Hillary is the best prepared candidate to manage this country the next four years."

How is she prepared? What experience does she have that would qualify her?

On the contrary, she doesn't have a single qualification to be president. It is stunning that a person of her ilk is even viable as a candidate, especially for president of the United States.

Herb asked what experience she has that qualifies her. Her own answers to that are tales of fiction (i.e., she had a significant role in the negotiations that led to peace in Northern Ireland, when, in fact, she had none at all). She can't (or won't) even produce any White House papers to back up her claims.

Herb, I agree with you wholeheartedly on every observation you made about Hillary and only wish you would do more research on Mr. Obama. Christinarn is absolutely correct when she says he is "a radical black with a slight scent of Muslim and will govern with a chip on his shoulder."

I have been listing his negatives for a few weeks now as I hear them, and in my opinion, can loosely tie him to terrorism through association three times. Again, his pastor gave a lifetime achievement award to Louis Farrakhan. The same man who visited Moamar Qaddafi when he was considered the foremost sponsor of international terrorism. He also embraced the Nation of Islam while in college. He has a friendship with William Ayers who was a leader in The Weather Underground, a domestic terrorist group from the seventies that bombed assorted federal, state, and local facilities around the country. He actively campaigned for his cousin for president of Kenya. When he lost the election, his cousin used terrorist tactics to force the winner to share power.

He recently submitted a bill in the Senate that would commit the United States to give over 280 billion in aid to Africa over the next ten years on top of what we contribute now.

Mr. Obama has refused to distance himself from his pastor in spite of his race baiting utterances instead challenging us to change our racist ways. I'm sure his wife's view of America has been formed by listening to his pastors rantings. Would you expose your two daughters to that?

Mr. Obama has denied ever being in church when one of these sermons were given, yet he wrote about the sermon that mentioned Nagasaki and Hiroshima in his first book, "Dreams from my Father." Did he mis-speak?

Obama can barely tell us how much he loves this country without adding the disclaimer, "for all it's faults." I find his preoccupation with Africa, and his association with former terrorists and terrorist sympathizers troubling.

We all heard his pastor use the "N" word in one of his sermons, how much do you want to bet that there's a tape out there with the words "HONKY" and "CRACKER." I'll bet the Clintons already know.

No Herb, Hillary is not fit to be president. But Obama???

I forgot to mention that most of the people in the last post have strong anti-semetic views. Under investigation right now is whether opinion letters from members of Hamas appeared in Obama's churches newsletters. We all remember Hamas. They bake cookies for the Reverend Wrights "Can't We All Just Get Along" bake sale. How does Obama feel about our Jewish allies???

Nohillbilly, most of what you wrote above is guilt by association or a viewpoint from his younger days. The only thing you wrote above that carries any weight with me is his plans for increased foreign aid, but that's a problem I have with all the major candidates, that is, foreign aid and military intervention to help other countries. The President should be President of the US, not President of the world. Being President of the world doesn't fit within his Constitutional duties.

Republicans should be focusing on the issues such as education the public of the harms of socialized medicine and stop this silly nonsense about guilt by association and what a person's views were when he was in college.

Who he associates with doesn't bother you Herb? I posted a column by Thomas Sowell in another thread. He explains how Obama has sought these people out. He didn't just happen upon them.

Years ago, a fresh new face was a rising star in the KKK. He was low key, no racial rantings and ravings, even wore a suit and a tie. Ran for congress and the senate and did quite well. David Dukes was a wolf in sheeps clothing. Knowing he couldn't have a voice while wearing a robe and hood, he cleaned it up and almost pulled it off. If he had run as a Democrat he'd probably be on his fourth term by now.

In my opinion, Obama is doing the exact same thing. Don't think that it was lost on the likes of Reverend Wright and Louis Farakhan that they had a well educated, low key, nice looking, well spoken young man in their midst that could pull the wool over everyones eyes. Nobody, in my opinion, sits in a church like that for over 20 years without believing what's being said. Nobody who wants to bridge the gap between the races would expose his wife and their two young daughters (the next generation) to the ravings of a racist lunatic. This whole thing is a charade and the MSM is letting it happen.

One Sunday mornig on Meet The Press, Tim Russert introduced his guest as former Klansman, David Dukes. After Dukes sat down he asked Russert why he introduced him as a former klansman but never introduced congressman Bobby Rush (D-IL) as former Black Panther Bobby Rush. Russert was speechless. As the MSM is with Obama.

David Duke had an extensive record of racism. I see no comparison between Duke and Obama. All I see with Obama is guilt by association.
