A writer above seems to think that Hillary would get along with the Republicans. Sure she has sponsored some minor bills with Republicans just to try to establish herself as a centrists, but she is too polarizing to try to get along with Republicans if she were to become President unless she sees it as politically advantageous to do so.
Dave: Let's see if I have my facts rather than my feeling straight on this one. Health Care...Her Socialist secretly held and developed program almost single handedly handed the house and the Senate to the Republicans to which you abhore. Economy? She had exactly what to do with that? Do you recall how a bill becomes a law? The only reason Clinton got out of Dodge with out a deficit was because a Republican held majority forced him to triangulate, and sign every spending cut and tax break which grew the economy. Competence? In what? Being an absolute liar on any question ever asked of her? Ah I don't recall, I can't remember. I hope she runs so I can enjoy watching you hand ringers cry. Just think, Hollywood is already telling her to take a hike all because, allegedly of the single mindness you share with her on how she voted to support the President. Maybe we should try her for war crimes for that vote?
When Hillary announced smugly that she was equipt to handle evil and bad men it reminded me how much she had in common with Eva Braun. Hillary chose to accept Bill's monumental abuse in front of the entire world rather than deal with the syndrome and Eva went to her death with Hitler rather than put a stop to his abuse. This is a personality flaw in too many women who are terribly insecure. They ignore reality at the expense of everyone around them. Hardly Presidential qualifications.

No doubt, Syz! It disturbs my very soul to see how Bill and Hillary Clinton shrug off their own evils without a second thought. Hillary should NOT have a chance to get elected due to what her husband did and her fake "gasp" while reading her goofy book on TV made me almost puke. (when she said she was breathless, HA...BS). She is such a total fake of a human being, Hillary is empty.

Hillary's Phony Coat of Armor
By Michelle Malkin
Wednesday, February 21, 2007
Look out: Hillary Clinton is pulling the armor cloak from her rhetorical closet again. As long as she pairs it with a skirt, Italian designer Donatella Versace approves. But for any leading presidential candidate with a shred of integrity, this political wardrobe malfunction goes in the "fashion don't" column.
In her latest campaign video, Hillary attacks the Bush administration for sending soldiers off to battle unprotected: "Promises just aren't enough anymore. After almost four years, longer than we were in WWII, our troops still don't have all the body armor and armored vehicles and other equipment they need. It's a disgrace."

Whenever leftists need to show they really, really do care more about the troops than their political opponents, they pull out this armor card. A Rumsfeld-bashing reporter bragged about coaching a soldier into spotlighting the armor gap two years ago. And last year, ignoring rank-and-file soldiers' own observations about the trade-offs between weight and mobility, Hillary excoriated the Bush administration as "incompetent" for not weighing down the troops with extra body armor. Now, the Army is being pummeled again by vultures and opportunists with no clue about the complexities of military logistics.
The Democrats' latest talking point involves a reported shortage of armored Humvees in Iraq. The armchair generals of The New York Times editorial board waxed indignantly about the story last week -- lambasting the "Army, the National Guard and the Marine Corps" for being "caught constantly behind the curve" on armor upgrades. The Times' editorial titled their anti-Bush tirade, "Not supporting the troops." The meme has penetrated from Hillary and Ted Kennedy down to every last, lowest-level Democratic strategist looking to burnish pro-military credibility.
But the Army reminds its critics that it began the War on Terror "with equipment shortages totaling $56 billion from previous decades. In the last several years, the Army has transformed itself more than any other military in history and rapidly acquires ever-improving equipment on a scale not seen since World War II." In Iraq alone, officials report, "the Army has gone from a low of 400 up-armored Humvees to nearly 15,000 up-armored Humvees patrolling neighborhoods, protecting troops and mitigating risk from most types of enemy munitions. As of this date, the Army has produced enough Frag Kit No. 5 Retrofit kits to outfit every Humvee in Afghanistan and Iraq. Thousands of these kits are being flown into theater every month and they are being installed in theater, 24 hours a day, seven days a week to ensure Soldiers have the best protection available."
Capt. Aaron Kaufman of the Dagger Brigade at Forward Operating Base Justice, the unit my Hot Air partner Bryan Preston and I embedded with in Baghdad last month, told me: "This is simply another red herring. All of the trucks that leave the FOBs either possess interim FRAG-5 armor kits or the Objective Kits. . . . Every truck we have is baseline an M1114 or M1151 up-armored HMMWV, not a modified M998 or M1025 (standard HMMWV, no armor). The same type of reporter writes these articles, one you can refer [to] as a Green Zone Sniper. I have personally been impressed with how quickly the Army gets newly developed equipment and technology to the soldiers in the fight."
Capt. Matt Schoenfeldt, who serves as a gunner in Iraq's Diyala province, also sent me his reaction:
"I would first like to point out that this is just one more attempt by the liberals to take an extremely complicated situation, look at one small aspect of the story, and then invent the story that they [want] to tell. We have over 70,000 M1114 Up-Armored HMMWVs in theater right now. With that said, it is remarkable that we would be able to retro-fit this number of vehicles with armor in this short time period while still conducting 24-hour combat operations. . . . In addition to the upgrades to all of these 70,000-plus M1114s, the Army has upgraded every vehicle that travels out in sector; from ballistic glass for Track Commanders on Tanks and Bradleys, to armored doors and glass for support vehicles, and everything in between. There is not a single vehicle that goes out in sector that has not been upgraded for threats specific to Iraq.
"The armored upgrade program is a tremendously successful program and has saved thousands of lives. This story on the armor upgrades has been taken by the media and other uneducated members, and painted a very successful and impressive program as a failure. It is an appalling lack of fact-checking by the media and others that should be informed on the issue."
T.F. Boggs, a sergeant in the Army Reserves who recently returned from his second deployment to Iraq, summed it up: "We have come so far since the early days of the war that the armor issue is a joke. Only those who don't have a clue about the reality of the war in Iraq make it an issue."
Put another way: The empress has no clothes. Michelle Malkin makes news and waves with a unique combination of investigative journalism and incisive commentary. She is the author of [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This No Hillary For President Forum Link. .

I think I might buy that book and read it, thanks, jscuba! I hope they have it on audiobook already....
I can actually think of one good thing actually several good things about Hillary running for President. 1. Watching her melt down and go ballistic when she is pinned down to answer questions. 2. Watching the DNC turn into a bigger circus than it is while they squander their monies on which donkey to ride. 3. Having the broom rider run will allow the Republican party to finally get their act together and show and contrast the difference between the two parties. One has vision, one wants us in their prison. Don't forget to pay your UN Carbon tax.

1) Successful foreign policy experience. I know most people on this board are Republicans, who still think for some reason they have any validity when speaking about foreign policy. But, you have to admit that Hillary has more foreign policy experience than Pres. Bush did when he ran for his 1st term. She was there for her husband's triumphs and blunders. 2 successful terrorist attacks on US soil (1993 bombing of the twin towers and the Oklahoma City bombing...which was done by a Republican). But, on the good side, she was there for a time when the US was incredibly popular. We were known as a force for good. People came to us for help, wanted to be like us. The dollar was strong, the country was safe, and we could travel pretty much anywhere (except Somalia).
2) Successful Senate career. How many Presidential contenders have now, or ever, had experience both in the Whitehouse and in the Senate. Well, a couple Presidents running for their second term were Senators at one point. Some VPs, too. Al Gore was a Senator, right? Bob Dole? Mondale was a Senator. But, none of these people won. Most Presidents just come with Executive experience (all the way back until Kennedy, right?) I think Executive is more important than Legislative, but having Legislative is a good thing.
3) Working Across the Aisle. Okay, I consider this a negative, but most people won't. She works with Republicans. After 8 years of the man who claimed to be "A United, not a Divider", but ended up becoming "The Decider", it might be nice to have a President who can get along with his or her political rivals. Personally, I think the Republican agenda is destroying our great country, and that any who work with a Republican is nothing more than a Quisling, but I imagine some on this board my disagree. (hhmmm..this board cut out the explicative before "Quisling". It rhymes with mucking)
4) A Good Politician. This lady has weathered the worst. Claims of corruption, murder, lesbianism, being married just for the power, etc. Some of that might be true (am I the only one hoping to find a Hillary/Condi sex tape on YouTube? Yeah, probably :) ). Just for the record, she didn't kill Vince Foster! She's electable because she won't bend over for the Swift Boating like that guy with the horse-face..whatizname...Kerry. The Republicans have only one strategy to win...go negative. They certainly can't run on record ("Yay!!! We lost a major American city, got our boys stuck in a quagmire in Iraq and we went from record surpluses to record deficits!!!). The only way for the Dems to win is to not fall to this old, nasty, but effective tactic.
Finally, the single best thing I can say in Hillary's support is....she's not a Republican.
-Dave
Dave, I can come up with many problems with your way of thinking. and these are true facts, not the Stories the Democrats want you to think. I'm not going to blow smoke and say the Republicans are the best, but I can not find any reason to believe a word of the Democrats.
YOu said 2 successful terrorist attacks on US soil (1993 bombing of the twin towers and the Oklahoma City bombing...which was done by a Republican). Wrong, that is a Democrat and Movie Lie. Bill Clinton did nothing about it. The FBI did make an arrest but Failed to go further with it. The Republican Party did not sit back and do nothing unlike Bill Clinton. After the attacks on 9-11 the Republican Party went and did more research and evidence was found during the War on Terror that Al Quade was behind that Bombing.
She works with Republicans Wrong, she works for what good for Hillary and the Democrats. Read the News. Not long ago She claim that Bush acted Illegal and without Congress approval, but she did Vote for the Invasion that she claim he went in with out. Now she and all the other Democrats has shown Which side they are for. And it's not for the United States.
Republican agenda is destroying our great country Again Wrong, President Bush has worked hard to rebuild America, Bill Clinton had all but destroy American Values, Economy, and our Military. During and sadly still happening Many Jobs are moving south of the Boarder. Started during the Clinton Administration by the same. Military Cuts brought America's Defense to an all time Low and to a UnSafe Level. The only thing Bill Clinton did was bring America back into the Black money wise, but at what Cost? Clinton did not defend America, it's Interest nor it's People. Due to the lack of acting, nearly 4000 Civilians has lost their lives to Terrorist Attacks, and no real action had been taken till President Bush Declared War against them and any Nation that Harbors Terrorist.
The Republicans have only one strategy to win...go negative. I never seen the Republicans being as Negative as the Democrat Party. Talking about Negativety, that is the full scoop of the Democrats Program. Watch yahoo news, 3 died in Iraq, 11 Died in Iraq but seldom do you hear the truth of what is going on.
They certainly can't run on record ("Yay!!! We lost a major American city, got our boys stuck in a quagmire in Iraq and we went from record surpluses to record deficits!!!). The only way for the Dems to win is to not fall to this old, nasty, but effective tactic. The Republican's Record out Shines the Democrat 100 to 1/2. But since The big down size of the Military America again had to spend money it did not have to to Fight the War on Terror. So what you are Blaming on Bush, really Clinton did. But that's a Democrat for you. Remember Kerry election when John Edwards made a Speach in Ohio? I quote "The Day Bush went into Office, the Economy went down Hill." Well it takes approx 3 to 4 years to see the effects of a New President. Therefore the Economy downfall is all Clintons. It started to go down in 1995 and did not stop till 2004. But the Damages were done, and Bush inherited a bad deal and would be hard for anyone to repair.
Yay!!! We lost a major American city New Orleans and Katrina. And you blame Bush?
Here some information for you; Katrina proves more than what everyone thinks. Look at the City of New
Orleans. They all want to blame President Bush. But let’s do some
research first.
1. Did President Bush create the Storm? No! An Act of God.
2. Why wasn’t the Hospitals, and Nursing homes cleared and the
patents moved to safety? Poor Leadership and Poor Planning.
3. Why wasn’t the Poor and Disabled who had no means of their
selves given assistance to leave prior to the Storm? Poor Leadership and
Poor Planning.
4. Why did the Police and other Emergency agency personal abandon
their post and ran when they knew they needed before and after the
Storm? Poor Leadership and Poor Planning.
5. Why wasn’t the School Buses used to help move the Poor and
Disabled? Again Poor Leadership and Poor Planning.
We all remember hearing in the News Those Sorry Republicans has not
sent us any help. Where is FEMA why aren’t they here helping us? But
we also heard news reports of Raping, looting, and Killing, all out lawless
City. People even shot at those who went to rescue them in some cases.
But for the Record, FEMA was there as they Cried they were not. Most of
the time When a disaster happens in the United States, we have to handle
it all on our selves. This Storm brought in assistance from Canada, and
even the Mexico’s Army crossed the Border for the first time since the
American/Spanish War to give Aid to the City of New Orleans. Bush did
Call the LA Governor prior the Storm to offer assistance, but it was denied,
with the response we can handle it. While the Citizens out side of New
Orleans went to work rebuilding themselves with the Help of Volunteers,
the Citizens of New Orleans cried where is Our new Homes, our FEMA
Bank Cards, Give me Give Me Give Me.
So who should be blamed for the problems of the City of New Orleans?
President Bush and the Republicans or the Mayor of the City of New
Orleans? By the way the Mayor of New Orleans is a Democrat.
Finally, the single best thing I can say in Hillary's support is....she's not a Republican. I agree for the most Part, Thank God She not a Republican.
You mention John Kerry many times. Do you wonder why he got the jokes about him like Flip Flop? Cause he could not stick to his story. Pending who he was talking to, where he stood.
As for the Democrats that are in the Senate and House aredoing nothing but Making our World dangerous and unsafe. Do I agree with them, NO! How do I feel about their action? They have done nothing but Betryed our Nation, Our Troops, and the World. I am currently living in the Philippines. I am from Georgia, but for now I am in the Philippines. Last 3 weeks I seen first hand some of the World's War against Terrorist. Philippine Army Helo's were Bombing Terrorist close by. I will be returning to the USA soon, but I fear for my Wife, and her family here. If the Democrats continue to betray our troops and lose the War in Iraq, I fear what will happen here and in the States.
But then again the Democrats Record will not be harmed, for they are famous in Losing Wars for the United States...
Hey Coastie, your wasting your time. Drig 23 claims that the republicans go negative then one sentence later blames the largest natrual disaster in the history of the United States on a man 5 states away. New Orleans, aside from being a major seaport, is nothing more than a poor, corrupt, dangerous city famous only for it's annual two week orgy every Feb. When the storm hit, Washington went into action. Mayor Nagin was holed up in his condo in Dallas. Now that's leadership!
