| This analysis of Piglet's problems ignores a couple very simple things. It seems so elementary that I can't believe they didn't address it.
1) Her popularity in the polls last year was a result of name recognition, nothing more. Her support was ten miles wide and one inch deep. Most Democrats, it turns out, were perfectly willing to consider someone else. They just didn't know who yet.
2) Once Democrats got to know another candidate (turned out to be Barry), they abandoned Hillary. She is not likable and there is no rational reason to support her, and myriad reasons not to.
So that's all it comes down to, I think. They can talk about misspent funds, poor organization, poor strategy, etc., but her ultimate flaw is that she is not likable. |
