Not only was Sen. Barack Obama's big victory Saturday in the South Carolina primary essential to keep his presidential hopes from slumping. It seriously damages Sen. Hillary Clinton, who barely finished second ahead of John Edwards.

Yeah, that strategy backfired, didn't it. Now there may be a severe backlash against the Clintons. I just heard that Teddy Kennedy will endorse Barack Obama today in spite of a call he received from Slick asking him not to.

I can feel the love fading away.

I heard that Ted Kennedy's endorsement of Obama will probably help Obama pick up more Catholic Hispanic votes. Now, all we need is for Gore to endorse Obama, for Edwards to pull out, and for Obama to win Florida, then Hillary may be toast.

Actually Herb, the Democrats need to keep Edwards around. If it's only the black guy and the broad it will really look like pandering to the special interests.

You may have a point, nohil. Maybe if Obama gets the big bulk of the black vote and a godd portion of the white vote, that'll leave Hillary and Edwards to divide the rest of the white vote and Obama may end up carrying lots of states with a plurality.
