A shift in story on Clinton?s war opposition

Is Bill Clinton having an I-didn't-inhale-moment on Iraq? The former president - a political titan with a penchant for straying from his wife's careful campaign script - raised eyebrows in Muscatine, Iowa, yesterday by telling supporters he "opposed Iraq from the beginning."

Well, maybe we are confused and we need another one of those discussions about what the definition of "Iraq" is...

Look at it carefully. Bill "opposed Iraq from the beginning."
If "Iraq" is the country, then he opposed Saddam and supported the war.
If "Iraq" is the war, then he opposed the war and supported Saddam.
This could even be a misquote. Are you certain he didn't say he opposed "a rock" from the beginning? Whatever he intended to say, you can bet good money that everybody is taking this out of context.

You see the work of the master here? No matter what you think, that's what he thinks too! Bill agrees with you. Bill agrees with everyone. That's why you should vote for Duchess.

Let's see how silly this damage control gets. I guess we'll never figure it out until we see Bill burning another American flag. This time he does it on Saddam's gravesite. Of course, audio would probably have him chanting "Long Live Israel" in Yiddish at the burning so he could doubletalk his way out of that one, too.
