New News on Al Gore

Check out a new article at Newsmax.com about a couple of people who were involved in Gore's 2000 campaine that have been approached by Gore's people to ask if they would be available in case Gore throws his hat in. Gore is also coming out with a new book next month that addresses all major issues, not just global warming. He could be the final nail in Hillary's coffin. I have mixed feelings, relief if Hillary gets knocked out in the primary, discust at the prospect of Gore becoming president. Look for the debate on anthropogenic global warming to heat up even more.

If the only reason people are choosing Hillary over Obama and Edwards is experience, if Gore enters the race, that's it for Hillary. Gore has the experience. Hillary will be left with nothing. If Gore enters, I look for it to be a race between Gore and Obama. Ta Ta Hillary.

Found on Blogs for Bush site. This about sums up what Al Gore and his fellow democrats are all about and why they should be exposed.

Carter, Gore and Civil War II By Mark Noonan at [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This No Hillary For President Forum Link.

Added to Jimmy Carter's recent anti-Bush rant, we now have Al Gore's [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This No Hillary For President Forum Link. :
...Gore sheds his inner Marshall McLuhan for his inner Michael Moore, saying that if "Bush and Cheney actually believed in the linkage (between Iraq and al Qaeda) that they asserted -- in spite of all the evidence to the contrary presented to them contemporaneously -- that would by itself in light of the available evidence, make them genuinely unfit to lead our nation. On the other hand, if they knew the truth and lied, massively and repeatedly, isn't that worse? Are they too gullible or too dishonest?" Gore writes that since "Iraq had nothing to do with the 9/11 attack…then that means the president took us to war when he didn't have to and that over 3,000 American service members have been killed…unnecessarily."
When asked if that meant U.S. troops had died in vain, Gore said Monday that "those who serve our country are honored in memory" but that the issue is "there is hardly anybody left in America…who doesn't believe that it was a terrible mistake to invade a country that didn't attack us.
Well...
Al Gore said last night that the time had come for a "final reckoning" with Iraq, describing the country as a "virulent threat in a class by itself" and suggesting that the United States should consider ways to oust Saddam Hussein. - New York Times, Feb 13, 2002
So, only a year after Gore left office as Vice President and five full months after 9/11 (ie, after everyone had a chance to calm down and think carefully about what the next step should be), Al Gore was saying we needed a "final reckoning" with Iraq. What did he think this final reckoning would be?

If you look fully into the linked article, you'll also note that Gore is called someone who was against the liberation of Iraq from its inception - but it is clear that more than a year before we acted, Gore was in favor of what could only be the liberation of Iraq. Now, why would Gore have been in favor of liberating Iraq? Perhaps it was because he was only recently out of the executive branch and recalled this from 1998:
According to the indictment, bin Laden and al Qaeda forged alliances with the National Islamic Front in Sudan and with representatives of the Government of Iran and its associated terrorist group Hezballah with the goal of working together against their common enemies in the West, particularly the United States. "In addition, al Qaeda reached an understanding with the Government of Iraq that al Qaeda would not work against that government and that on particular projects, specifically including weapons development, al Qaeda would work cooperatively with the Government of Iraq," the indictment said.(emphasis added) - US State Department, Press Release, November 4, 1998
Al Gore is, unfortunately, a dishonest man. We may still hope that he'll repent and return to truthfullness, but each time Gore says another lie or obfuscates another truth, he makes it harder and harder for himself to turn back. For Gore, the man, this is something that he'll have to reckon up when he comes before the Judge - but as a person of public prominence in the United States, holding the alliegence of millions of Americans, what Al Gore does has more effect than just upon his immortal soul. What Gore, and Carter and all of those senior Democrats who began to systematically lie about their positions vis a vis Iraq and the larger War on Terrorism are doing is irrevocably poisoning the American political process.
People are now investing their most deadly attribute in this - their pride. What might have started out as a mere shading of the truth for partisan advantage has now come to be the belief in a whole series of lies and fabrications, the relinquising of any one them bringing the whole edifice down and making those who hold to them look like fools, or criminals. For all too many - including, it would seem, Al Gore - they can't pull back now. Their pride won't let them. Rather than admit error and make amends, they just keep going into ever more absurd lies today in order to cover up the slightly less absurd lies they told yesterday. The problem this presents to the American people as a whole is that our political system cannot function while one side of it is living a lie. It breaks down because while lies can do wonders for you, they eventually collapse upon themselves - and our problem is that when these lies do collapse, there will be tens of millions of Americans who's pride will be unwilling to let them go...and that is the stuff with which civil wars are made.
Gore, Carter, Moore, Ried, Pelosi...they and so many others are digging the grave for millions; not just around the world, but right here at home. There is, perhaps, still some time left for the purveyors of lies to pull back...there is also some time for the people to destroy the lies at the polls, and so make the liars moot. But time is running out, and each time another person gets up in front of the American people and asserts a bald-faced lie, as Gore has just done, we accelerate towards a cataclysm.
