I'm pro-choice but vehemently opposed to abortion. With all of the products on the market today to prevent conception, I'm surprised that legalized abortion is even open for discussion. Abortion is the ultimate refusal to take responsibility for your actions both before and after the fact. The issue of abortion is simply a tool used by politicians to pander to select special interest groups to garner a few more votes. Abortion should only be used in cases of rape, incest, and in Hillary's case, if we could make it retro-active.

I am 100% pro-life. Each and every child's soul was in Heaven with God prior to conception. The child does not ask a man to rape or sexual abuse a female, so why should that child pay for the sin. I was raped when I was much younger. I thought I was pregnant and not once did I even consider killing the child. Adoption is always there.
What strikes me as ironic is that Hillary has shown concern about the safety of children yet she is willing to allow many to be murdered before they have even had a chance. Kinda like Janet Reno and Waco - oh I forgot - Hillary and Reno as buds.

929, your 100% pro-life stance is admirable, but I would hesitate to demand that any woman be forced to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term when considering the situation that got her there. I would also not want a position that unyielding should it come up to a vote.

Yes, it is sick either way, BUT if a woman is raped or was impregnated by incestuous means, I could see how that would be unbearable to carry. That is a hard one right there...horrible to even think of.

I as a woman should of course be for having a choice but I do not feel that murder is a choice. God is in the ultimate control. His Will will be done. I know that carrying a child that was a product of something vile would be hard. But I also know that within months of aborting, the women are never the same again. Every woman I have spoken to about their abortions wish that they had not made an innocent child die and they suffer multiple psychological disorders that did not exist beforehand.
I suppose as a man you may look at it a different way. Suppose that since abortion is legal and as easy as taking a pill that your wife/girlfriend discovers she is pregnant with YOUR child. She does not consult you but she does NOT want this baby messing up her plans. So she goes to the clinic and gets rid of the unnecessary baggage. What would you do? How would you feel? Did you have a voice in the choice or did the child for that matter?

The pro life vs. pro choice fight is about more than incest and rape. That is the superficial reasons. There are other implications besides the obvious. Stem Cell research, collagen used in makeup products, gene therapy... the list could go on...

Like I said before 929, your position is admirable, and was once the rule rather than the exception. Today however, that position and 75 cents may get you a cup of coffee in the halls of congress.
