Clinton, Obama Vote NO For Funding Troops

WiseOne's Comments, Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton do not deserve to be President now, period. Yes, we are having problems and need some changes in Iraq, but to vote against funding our troops as Presidential Candidates goes too far. You both have just sealed your fate in 2008, Just MHO

Those were all sham votes to appease the far left base. Knowing that time was running short to fund the troops, votes were counted beforehand by the democrat majority to make sure that the bill would be passed, but that all of the top tier hopefuls could vote no and not be held accountable should the funding bill have failed.

It was more of a procedural vote for the majority to cover the as*es of those who voted for the war but now wanted to voted against it.

Note that Moveon.org was pleased with them.

I wonder who in the Democrat party was bullied into voting for the troop funding to make room for Clinton and Obama to vote against the troops.

It passed 80-14 so I don't think any bullying was nescessary, but you better believe that the votes were counted beforehand to avoid embarassment. Many in leadership voted no including; Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton, Obama, Boxer, Leahy, Feingold, and Dodd. This shows that the vote was a cover for those running for president. How many times do these names vote no and the rest of them don't follow in lock-step?

These liberals say they support the troops, yet when they need funds for ammo, rations, and salaries, they don;t give any. IT DOES NOT SURPRISE ME. They do not support the troops. If they did, they would donate thousands of dollars, not not give them the necessary tax dollars. For Christ's Sake, they love high taxes!!

The latest USA Today poll has Obama over Hillary 30 to 29 if Gore is included and if independents are included. Without Gore, Hillary leads 37 to 36. The poll was taken Friday through Sunday, so most of the results are pre-debate. Dick Morris wrote that because of Hillary's poor performance during the first 40 minutes of the debate, she should drop in the polls. She was visibly uptight over Iraq which comprised the first part of the debates. She is having a hard time explaining away her previous support for the war. The new Gerth book coming out should hurt her even more among her base. Gerth shows how she was more hawkish than Lieberman and how she voted against more diplomacy. Her trying to show herself as a centrist has come back to haunt her in a big way.

With only Democrats polled, she leads Obama 34 to 29, but she led by 17 in mid May. Obama's manager said they are seeing bigger and bigger crouds at Obama's appearances.
