Clipboard Error Republicans Defecting To Barak Obama?

[ DISILLUSIONED supporters of President George W Bush are defecting to Barack Obama, the Democratic senator for Illinois, as the White House candidate with the best chance of uniting a divided nation.

Tom Bernstein went to Yale University with Bush and co-owned the Texas Rangers baseball team with him. In 2004 he donated the maximum $2,000 to the president’s reelection campaign and gave $50,000 to the Republican National Committee. This year he is switching his support to Obama. He is one of many former Bush admirers who find the Democrat newcomer appealing. ]

WiseOne's Comments, Hm, that is interesting to say the least. I think they are more worried about Hillary than actually wanting to support Barak Obama though, Just MHO

Those are neither Republicans nor conservatives WiseOne, they are called opportunists.

Hm, true, they could be opportunists. But, I agree with Corvair and think they are more worried about hurting Hillary (which is ok by me) than "defecting" to Obama. There are some very interesting aspects to this 2008 race to be sure...this is going to be HOT!

Funny. This reminds me of when Kevin Zeese tried to say that conservatives were leaving the Bush/Cheney camp because they were attracted to Nader and the Reform Party. Have you ever heard anything more ridiculous? How does Nader attract the conservatives that Pat Buchanan could not manage to steal from Bush/Cheney?

I think this is a sequel to the Nader spin appearing to be a big story about something that is ultimately of the least significance. I bet you'll hear Obama become demonized and a fictional scandal will emerge. Obama is put in place by the Republicans, or something to that effect.

Hmmm, should we pass a collection coffee can for Obama's primary race?

Well, I think Obama will be dropped to his knees not by Republicans, but by Hillary. Obama is going to need more than a coffee can to defeat the pure evil that Hillary personifies...he had better PRAY. Prayers are what he needs, LOL.

"Hm, true, they could be opportunists."

I read that alot of the former Bush supporters that have switched to Obama are neoconservatives. The neoconservatives were once Democrats who left the Democrat Party when the Democrats turned on the Vietnam War. Now that Obama is talking hawkish about spreading democracy, protecting vital American interests, and increasing military spending, they are perfectly willing to return to the Democrat Party. I guess they never were all that keen about fiscal conserative issues. Hillary also has some former neoconservative Bush supporters supporting her.
