The Illinois senator used his first public appearance of the week to knock down the notion that he might accept the party's vice presidential nomination. He noted that he has won more states, votes and delegates than Clinton so far.

"I don't know how somebody who is in second place is offering the vice presidency to the person who is first place," Obama said, drawing cheers and a long standing ovation from about 1,700 people.

WiseOne's Comments, that is hilarious! Hillary Clinton offering Barack Obama the Vice President spot when SHE is the one who is under him, LMFAO! Hillary sure has balls...I guess that's why Bill went elsewhere, ROTF. That will be funny when Obama wins the rest and then asks her...oh man, I'll be crying with laughter. Neither will I Wise One. I will not vote for a ticket with Hillary on it, whether on the top spot or the second spot. Obama will be wise not to put her on his ticket. She will drag it down. She is so hated, that Republicans will turn up in droves to vote against her whether she's on the top or bottom of the ticket.

I have a question. If Obama is wins the Democratic nom and goes on to win the General Election, are incumbents automatic nominations or can this slug of a woman challenge the nomination in 4 years?

I just wasn't aware of whether the re-election was an automatic nomination or not.

IIRC, incumbents aren't automatic nominees but it is customary. Hillary could attempt to run again against the sitting Pres if she were VP...or she could choose to wait until the next election and attempt to run. At that point the country would probably be so far in the toilet that any Republican or Libertarin could run and win!

Scary stuff.
