You can debate with me about Hillary Clintons electability all you want. But I think you know, the few thousand questions about Hillary versus McCain, is a far cry from the millions more voters that turned out for her than McCain.
Will you have to wait and see for yourself, or will go ahead and admit that the GOP is getting their butts kicked in ever primary and caucus by Hillary.

Just so you know, I DO NOT like Hillary. I don't not like Obama. I don't want to see the Democrats take the White House But it seems like they are. And reguardless of whether your looking for Obama to be a better president or not, the democrats will still have full control over our government.

Obama/Clinton....There isn't much difference in their voting records. And isn't that the final judgement? How they vote.

Socialism has not gender or color.

Besides, I just wonder what your doing, other then blogging and posting messages on the internet, to help keep the Hildabeast out of the White House..

I work 12 hours a day and drive 2. Do the math, I don't have time to do much more to stop Hillary unless I post in a brighter color and use a bolder font than you do. I'd like to believe that Clinton is toast but I said the same thing about McCain three or four months ago and look what happened.

If you read some of the posts in some of these threads you would see that I have no love for liberals be they hard core like Clinton and Obama, or Liberal Lite like John McCain, so you're preaching to the choir here.

I live in a small town where the people act and believe conservatively but vote Democrat every election. Should I get a 2x4 and beat them about the head until they conform? 99% of my friends are black. Though I tell them that slavery was ended by a Republican, the Civil Rights Acts of 1957 and 1964 would not have passed without Republicans, and that the Democrats' elder statesman (Robert Byrd) was a recruiter for the Klan and spent more time under a hood than Mr. Goodwrench (Michael Savage), they still vote Democrat. What do you want me to do? Taze 'em bro?

I told my sister last week that I was tired of carrying the load for an ignorant electorate. What I meant by this was that I take the time to read, watch, and listen and then spread the word of conservatism. Yet idiots that pay no attention and are looking for a handout listen to the liberals sound bites and pull the big "D" in the voting booth on the one day that they show minimum interest.

I have been preaching the word of conservatism since I went door to door for Ronald Reagan back in '80. I know what conservatism is and this site has provided me a forum to spread the word to hundreds or thousands at a time without elevating my blood pressure 30 points.

Now I know that you're one of those rabid, frothy mouthed, Ron Paul backers and I have looked at Paul and decided that he has some very good ideas but sounds like he prefers Almond Joy to Mounds. He can't and shouldn't pull out the troops his first week in office. He can't close down the IRS in his first month in office. And he can't and shouldn't get rid of the CIA, nor promise to, in a time of war. Mr. Paul should put together an organization with a realistic agenda and then make a serious attempt at the presidency instead of this quadrennial grandstanding for attention.

NoHillBilly, I don't think you know Ron Paul if you think all he is doing is grandstanding. He believes strongly in these things.

Herb, I know he believes strongly in many of his issues, but there has to be some reason that nobody takes him seriously and I think I named a few.

I have not seen a whole lot of Ron Paul campaign material, don't know much about him other than what I've seen on the debates, I know he has a small but fiercely loyal and vocal following, and I have determined that most of his popularity comes from convoluted promises on billboards.

To explain. I live 40 miles north of Kansas City and drive I35S into the city every day. On this 50 minute drive, I have yet to see a campaign poster for any other candidate than Ron Paul. Not the small signs, but the huge 3'x 6' ones. Not just recently, but for months now. Before reaching downtown Kansas City I have to drive over the Paseo Bridge which is the most traveled road in KC as all major hwys. meet there. Just before the bridge was a Ron Paul billboard with the aforementioned promises on it. Any politically ignorant person would like what he's saying. So where Ron Paul has some politically astute followers who would like to get back to constitutional basics, he also pulls in a huge amount of politically naive idiots who go out on talk radio and make his campaign look like a joke.

Again, the "GOP" is not endorsing or promoting anybody. The way you use the term is not appropriate.

Oh gimme a break covair. You can't honestly believe that the GOP and Democrat leadership doesn't play a huge part in who gets to be the front runners? If these elections were as true as they were supposed to be, then real idiots like Bush Jr and John Kerry would never be picked as their front runners.....You know that!!!

I don't know H2L, do you believe the Democratic leadership had Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton or Barrack Obama in mind as front runners? I don't see it.

I take that statement as if you don't believe either the Democrat or GOp leadership has anything to do with the MSM. And also, that you think that America still has free and fair elections. That you don't believe in voter fraud, voting machine tampering or the "elite".
If you don't, then there is nothing I can say to you to make you believe otherwise. Fact is, I don't know for sure that any of that i true either. I just read or watched it all on the internet of TV.
But I do believe there are people, organizations, or something that pushes one candidate over another. And it's not for their issues.

For example, Ron Paul has been better for our troops than John McCain ever thought about being. He has introduced, supported or sponsored more legislation to benefit our troops than most congressmen. He has voted for more pay raises, VA benefits, retirement & special needs of soldiers families than John McCain. He stands on the conservative side of the war, gay marriage, taxes, Dept. of Education and immigration. And still, the "elite" in the GOP have endorsed McCain.

When John McCain was pushing to give up to 20 million illegals amnesty, Ron Paul was standing on a long tradition of NO welfare for illegals, No Mexican trucks, No NAFTA, and NO birthright citizenship.

Now put this into perspective. If the GOP wanted to keep control and not allow the Democrats control, why would they all push John McCain? When all the things he has done or tried to do, are the same things that cost the GOP to lose both houses of congress just two years ago?
When America became "outraged" at McCains amnesty bill just last year, why would they want him to be the front runner, if they didn't already know he was going to lose?

If your confused by now about this, keep in mind, you probably don't know (I'm sure Wiseone remembers), I don't see any difference in the Democrats and GOP. AFter what I have seen in the last few years, I think these guys are like the small town lawyers. You see them battling things out in court, making a good showing, but meet for dinner and drinks latter on. They are nothing more to me than this stimulous package. The one that doesn't actually do anything to stimulate anything more than the peoples perspective.

So therefore, how could either side support someone like Ron Paul, who stands against the elite and the corruption. Someone who has a voting record that most people can actually agree with?

I mean seriously. This is how it works. We have democrats and Republicans in control eer so often right? And the Democrats screw things up a little. The then Republicans take the helm and screw things up a little. And it just goes back n forth. It's a never ending cycle. Ever wonder why it's almost impossible for a third party candidate to win a congressional or Presidents election? Because both sides are working together.

And Ron Paul knows the game they play. & if Ron Paul has done anything to help the American people, he has brought these games and corruption to the forfront of our voting attention. (at least those who keep up with "ALL" the candidates.

This is because we see the flaws in the system. We see the corrpution from both sides. It is because we are sick to death of the status quo. We are tired of having to chose between war and gay marriage, Illegal immigration and deficit spending, big government and abortion.
Ron Paul supporters have a slgan. "Ron Paul cured my apathy". Which means we see the truth. The truth is important to me now. We deserve change. We will not vote for a lesser of two evils, no matter what they tell me. & This country is too important to just follow who they tell me to follow. I will make a decision. It will be my decision. And I will do the research. I will expose the lies. And I will make my voice heard, so that others can learn, get involved and find out for themselves.

You can bet, that the people who put out those signs, were people who are just more than involved. Just asked the brave soldiers in Baghdad, who started the Ron Paul Baghdad meetup group.

Things like this are what makes you pay attention, do the research, and bleieve.

Words of wisdom from the soldier. That's why there are more contributions from soldiers to Ron Paul than from all the other candidates combined. They know the Constitutional purpose of our military is to defend the US, not to defend other countries and be the world policeman.

It has been a long primary season and I still know very little, if anything, about Ron Paul. I work nights so I have missed most of the debates which means that all I have to go on is what I have seen on the billboard on I35 and I know all of those promises are simply unachievable. For the short time that Fred Thompson was in the race I was able to learn more information about him than about Ron Paul.

I have no doubt that he is everything his backers say he is but whatever it is he's doing positive, he's doing it under the radar.
